Yes, you can have breakfast here. On weekdays it opens at 9:30 a.m., and on weekends it opens at a whopping 6:30 a.m. — amazing! Since it's open for such long hours, you can drop by whenever the craving hits, right? ^^

Uncooked takeout is also available: you get the amount of 3 servings for the price of 2, ₩18,000. Total bargain ^^

Atmosphere and facilities at Old Gyeongseong Sundaeguk

The restaurant is spacious and clean! The open kitchen made me trust the place even more!

Please check out the menu~ There's also a clear origin-of-ingredients board and high chairs, plus a discount event on uncooked takeout for dine-in customers, and you can take away geotjeori (fresh kimchi) and seokbakji (radish kimchi) too, so keep that in mind.

There's also a side dish self-bar. The kimchi in particular was so good that refills were an absolute must~

You order at a kiosk here. What I liked most was that you can set the spice level, portion size and even the type of meat and fillings~

Our family ordered 2 sundaeguk (blood sausage soup) and 1 pork gukbap this day. There's also a Naver receipt review event, and if you take part, you get chalsundae (glutinous sundae) as a free extra, so do join in ^^

How did the sundaeguk and pork gukbap taste?

The food came out quickly after we ordered, which was great! Seeing all those generous fillings, my expectations went way up~

See how generous the sundaeguk is? ^^ The rice was glossy and the portion was big.

The pork gukbap my kid chose was the best too! My kid loved it and gave a thumbs up~~ And the sundae in the sundaeguk was seriously huge, I was shocked, haha.

The amount of fillings was really plentiful and satisfying, and the sundaeguk was delicious~

The side dishes were so good that I got refills!!
