Yongsan tteokbokki lunch before a CGV stage greeting: Hyeonseonine
Hyeonseonine Yongsan Main Branch is a bunsik (Korean snack food) restaurant on Yongridan-gil in Yongsan, Seoul, about a 5-minute walk from Sinyongsan Station Exit 6, where you boil instant tteokbokki at your table. Stopping in for lunch before a stage greeting at Yongsan CGV, the writer ordered mild instant tteokbokki with fried rice and 4 fried mandu, and the tteokbokki arrived with jjolmyeon (chewy wheat noodles) and 2 eggs included. The rice cakes stayed chewy and the jjolmyeon soaked up the sauce well, and the fried rice — bland on its own — tasted great once tteokbokki broth was stirred in.
