Cleansing balm for whiteheads and texture: HEEDA Jirisan Charcoal
In short
I am using my second tub of HEEDA Jirisan Charcoal Moist Cleansing Balm to roll away makeup and sebum. Focusing on whiteheads and uneven texture around my nose and chin, I found that emulsifying it left my skin feeling moist and smooth.

What did it feel like to use for whiteheads and uneven texture?

I usually alternate between cleansing oil and cleansing balm, and I reached for this one often because I could scoop out only the amount I needed. I was concerned about whiteheads and uneven texture in areas where sebum easily builds up, such as around my nose and chin, and I am currently using my second tub.

It uses Jirisan charcoal, and both the packaging and product felt different from typical white or translucent cleansing balms.

Was the texture and container easy to use?

When I opened the lid, there was a spatula inside, with an inner plastic lid covering the product once more. It looked like a firm balm, but it scooped up softly when I gently scraped it with the spatula.

Unlike an oil, it did not run onto my hands or around the container, so it was easy to scoop out the amount I needed. When I applied it to my skin and rolled it around, it melted with my body heat into a smooth, oil-like texture, and I felt less friction while massaging my whole face.

How did I cleanse makeup and sebum-prone areas?
On days when I wore tone-up sunscreen or foundation, I applied the product to my face and rolled it around thoroughly. I massaged the sides of my nose and chin for longer, and also rolled it over my cheeks and cheekbones, where I feel whiteheads tend to build up.

While rolling, I could see my makeup melting away, and I felt sebum catching on my fingers. However, skin condition and individual experience may vary.

How did I emulsify it?

Rather than rinsing immediately after melting the balm thoroughly onto my skin, I wet my fingertips with a little water and rolled it around again. After emulsifying it this way and rinsing, I felt the oily balm came off more easily and left a clean finish.

How did my skin feel after washing?

With strong cleansers, I found the dry, tight feeling uncomfortable as soon as I towel-dried my face. With this product, the surface oil seemed washed away without leaving my skin excessively squeaky-clean. For me, it left a soft, smooth, refined feeling rather than a slippery residue.

I used it on days when whiteheads and rough skin texture bothered me, to remove makeup and sebum together. If rolling sensation during cleansing and the feeling after washing matter to you, you may find my experience useful.
