Today I'm writing up sushi — a menu my husband and I truly love!! We finally got to eat our fill at Teukbyeolhan Chobap (특별한초밥). We're self-proclaimed sushi addicts, so we're always on the hunt for good sushi spots.

This time, we heard about a place in Yeongtong, Suwon where you can eat sushi at just ₩1,890 a plate, and we rushed right over!

Cutting to the conclusion: the value for money was so good that my husband and I will probably be dropping by like it's our neighborhood mill from now on~
Location, hours, and parking at Teukbyeolhan Chobap Yeongtong
Teukbyeolhan Chobap is on the 2nd floor of a building at 25 Cheongmyeong-namro, Yeongtong-gu, Suwon-si — right near Yeongtong Homeplus, so it's really accessible. Hours are daily 11:30–22:00, with a break time from 15:00–17:00, and last order at 21:30. You can park for free in the building's underground lot.

Inside the restaurant and seating layout
The interior of Teukbyeolhan Chobap isn't huge, but it has that lively, cozy energy typical of conveyor-belt sushi spots. The layout follows the rail, with a long run of dotchi-style counter seats where you can watch the chefs shaping sushi right in front of you. On one side there's also a set of 4-person standalone tables where you order comfortably through a kiosk. It's a great setup whether you're coming as a group or family, or as a couple or with friends like we were.

They seated us right at the counter facing the rail.

Once seated, each table has a neat setup of rakkyo (pickled shallots), wasabi, pickled ginger, and soy sauce

As soon as we sat down, they brought out a warm, salty broth first. People rave that this warm broth settles your stomach and pairs really well with the sushi!
How to order and the menu lineup
At Teukbyeolhan Chobap, you can either pluck delicious sushi straight off the rail as it passes by, or look at the menu and directly request what you want. The menu variety was really impressive.

- Ultra-fresh sashimi-style sushi
- Sweet and salty steak-style sushi
- Chewy seafood, plus a full range of colorful rolls and gunkan
- Side dishes like yukhoe mulhoe (beef tartare cold soup), fish cake soup, mini udon
- Regular udon, cold soba, albap (fish roe rice), kimchi udon, and more
For a place with a flat ₩1,890 price tag, the side menu was surprisingly substantial too.

From salmon sushi to scallop sushi, 23 plates between the two of us
The first plate I picked, the one I'd been waiting for, was my beloved salmon sushi! The moment it hit my mouth, the savory, soft texture of the salmon melted right into the rice.

After that we kept picking off the rail without a break — flounder, raw shrimp, yukhoe (beef tartare), and more. The balance between rice and the fish on top was just right, so we never got tired of it and kept going.

If I had to name my one pick from the day, it was without question the scallop sushi!
The scallop's signature chewy-yet-tender texture gave off a sweetness the more you chewed, and it paired amazingly well with the sauce.

Every other sushi was delicious too!! In the end, my husband and I went at it like our brakes were broken and cleanly polished off a total of 23 plates. Haha.

We felt like we were about to burst, but there was zero pressure on the wallet, so paying the bill felt so relaxed.
How long is the weekend evening wait?
Ah! By the time we finished eating, a wait of about 5 parties had already built up! We arrived around 7pm on a weekend evening, so keep in mind there may be a wait later on!
Events worth grabbing
Little fun perks unique to the Yeongtong branch of Teukbyeolhan Chobap! Definitely worth grabbing if you visit.

- Participate in the Naver review event and get a free plate of delicious sushi or a cold drink!
- There's also a fun nostalgic roulette event you can join.
These little events seem to make the restaurant atmosphere even more lively.
To sum up
Being near Yeongtong Homeplus with free underground parking in the building makes this a really convenient place to visit. But above all, being able to eat fresh, high-quality conveyor-belt sushi across every type at the ridiculously good price of ₩1,890 a plate is the biggest draw. My husband and I promised to come back whenever we need a sushi refill soon! If you're looking for a can't-miss, budget-friendly conveyor-belt sushi spot in Yeongtong, Suwon, or a hearty and casual date course, I highly recommend Teukbyeolhan Chobap Yeongtong! 🍣❤
