Glamping with kids in Goheung: Synth Pet & Kids Glamping
This time, we visited Synth Pet & Kids Glamping (신스 펫 앤 키즈글램핑) in Goheung—the ultimate kids’ glamping spot in Jeollanam-do, and somewhere our whole family left completely happy! We’d heard that there was an endless amount for the kids to do, while Mum and Dad could enjoy some precious sweet rest too, so off we went.
Parents looking for places to visit with children in Jeollanam-do, or searching for a comfortable glamping stay there, please pay close attention to this one! 😉
A spacious car park and check-in

The moment we arrived, a wonderfully spacious car park greeted us! There was a large map showing the whole layout on one side of the car park, so it was easy to get our bearings too~

After checking the map, we headed to the management building to check in. And there were wagons ready right in the car park! Usually, at a pension or glamping site, moving luggage from the car to the room takes forever and leaves you drenched in sweat, but this thoughtful touch meant we could load everything up and move it all at once so easily. I was touched from the very beginning. 👏
The store, café, and rental items

As we checked in at the management building and got the introduction, my jaw dropped at the level of the facilities! You can rent a bottle sterilizer and baby bathtub for free, so it is truly ideal for visiting with very young children. I’ve never seen such kid-friendly facilities beforeㅠ
Doing the grocery shopping before a trip is such a big job, but there’s a convenience store nearby, and the on-site store had absolutely everything: samgyeopsal (pork belly), pork neck, ssam vegetables, snacks, ramen, drinks, and even a café! You could honestly arrive with practically nothing. I really only brought salt and ssamjang (seasoned soybean dipping paste) 😆
The store sells a fire-gazing set with 5 kg of firewood, one packet of aurora powder, and solid fuel—and they even provide a torch and an induction base plate! Put the aurora powder into the fire outside at night and the atmosphere is off the charts 🔥 Such a thoughtful detail: keep it outdoors and close the door while you enjoy the fire!

On the shelves in the management building, board games, drones, an astronomical telescope, and flashlights were all neatly displayed! You can rent up to two items after filling out the register, but there was so much to do that we almost didn’t have enough time!
Inside and outside Cabin D

Our home for the night was Cabin D❗❗

When night falls, the soft lights come on, and the exterior looks absolutely beautiful alongside the bamboo path!

Enter the code and open the front door to find a private terrace; then you open another door to enter the room itself. This double-entry layout feels safe and cosy.

I opened the upper and lower cabinets in the terrace kitchen and was amazed! Along with a refrigerator, electric kettle, and microwave, there were neatly organised stainless-steel camping dishes, colourful dishes just for children, kitchen roll, a sponge, and trays—all prepared without a speck of dust.

The terrace also had excellent heating and air-conditioning, and you can draw curtains from inside the room, so it was perfect for putting the children to bed and chatting quietly as adults at night. Colourful hammocks hung over the soft gravel, and Jiyu was all smiles, thrilled to lie in one 💖
The second we opened the door, a fresh, lovely scent drifted out—and the owner had turned on the air conditioner in advance! What amazing thoughtfulness 👍
Inside was a spacious family-bed setup with a queen and super-single bed joined together, plenty of room for our family of four to roll around and sleep. But everyone... maybe it was because the mattress was even softer than our bed at home? Our kids, who normally wake at 6 a.m., fell asleep at 9 p.m. and miraculously slept soundly until 8 a.m. 😴 Maybe they were tired from all the playing... but it’s real. Mum and Dad woke up in the morning completely moved 😭

There was even a StandbyMe screen, so you can watch TV comfortably wherever you want—on the sofa or in bed❗❗ A luxurious dressing table, a high-end hair dryer, and plenty of towels are a given! They even provided a stepped footstool for a child to stand on while washing their hands, which honestly touched me so muchㅠ
The bathroom has an all-in-one shampoo for children and a heater! After swimming, we could wash the children warmly without worrying at all about them getting cold. I loved that.

For safety, charcoal barbecues are not allowed, so we had a meat feast on the supplied camping burner instead~🥩

After putting the kids to bed, we drew the curtains and got completely absorbed in the board games we’d borrowed on the terrace, haha.
How are the indoor heated pool depths divided?
One of the highlights here is the indoor swimming pool! The changing room by the entrance has large lockers and plenty of towels, so you don’t have to dash dripping wet back to the cabin—you can wash up neatly on-site and return to your room. There is even a machine for inflating pool floats, so NO worries❗NO❗
- 0.7 m pool: a safe area separated by a fence within the main pool, perfect for children to play in!
- 1.2 m pool: the main area, great for adults to swim while closely looking after the children.
- 0.9 m pool: a separate pool to one side with a moderate depth.
Child-sized colourful pool floats in various sizes and life jackets are available to borrow for free, which really cuts down on luggage! Jiyu started out in the 0.7 m pool, then levelled up to the 0.9 m pool in a float 🔼
Happy Jiyu, an excited Mum, and Jia watching them—that is probably love like a war 🎶
Sand play and the indoor kids’ playground
The sand playground was where Jiyu ran first! It was full of adorable sand-play toy sets; once she went in, she protested that she didn’t want to come out, and I was left breaking a sweat trying to persuade her 🤣 It is exactly the kind of place that will make kids go wild!

Kids’ playground: 09:00–20:00
The essential lineup is all here: a large jungle gym, slide, and trampoline! It is a safe indoor setup where you take off your shoes before entering—so safe👍

The kids happily run around for at least an hour, gifting Mum and Dad some uninterrupted time for a cup of coffee ☕ Sharp objects, shoes, and food are not allowed inside, and please take care not to collide with others when using the trampoline! Jiyu went whoosh down the slide too 🧡🧡
The dog playground and drone activity area

As you would expect from a pet-friendly glamping site, there is a well-equipped dedicated playground where dogs can run around safely inside the fence.

The drone activity area was hugely popular with the boys! They flew the rented drones through obstacles, and it looked fun even just watching from the side!
Do I need to bring barbecue or children’s supplies?
Charcoal cannot be used under the glamping site’s safety rules, and you need to use the camping burner and grill plate prepared on the cabin terrace. The store sells butane gas, pork belly, pork neck, and ssam vegetables too, so you can arrive easily with almost nothing! Of course, you can bring meat you have purchased yourself as well.
You do not need to bring children’s life jackets, pool floats, or toys separately! The pool is well stocked with free life jackets and floats in children’s sizes, and you can also rent board games, drones, and an astronomical telescope from the management building.
I strongly recommend it even for families travelling with a very young baby or infant! The family-bed layout is safe, and the management building lends bottle sterilizers and baby bathtubs for free. With a bathroom heater, children’s all-in-one shampoo, and a step stool, it is optimised for caring for little ones.
Glamping for both children and dogs
Everything was perfect at Synth Pet & Kids Glamping in Goheung: flawless activities for children—swimming pool, sand play, kids’ café, drones, and board games—plus thoughtful cabin features for parents, including a heated bathroom, children’s footstool, pre-cooled welcome air conditioning, and the double terrace. It was also wonderful that the store has all the food supplies, so we could set off light with just salt and ssamjang. I confidently, wholeheartedly recommend it to families with children or anyone hoping to make special memories with their dog! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
