Gwangju katsu restaurant with ₩5,000 extra tenderloin: Filling

This was the restaurant my husband used to go to all the time when he lived in Cheomdan, and I went there a lot too whenever I was in the area! The only problem now is it's way too far from our current place ㅠ But since I was in Gwangju anyway, I finally made it back!!!! To Filling Donkatsu, my favorite pork cutlet restaurant in Cheomdan, Gwangju!!!! >_< haha

Filling Donkatsu Cheomdan: hours and how to find it

Filling Donkatsu Cheomdan Direct Store is open Tue–Sun 11:00–20:30, closed on Mondays — keep that in mind!! It's located at 43-10 Cheomdangwagi-ro208beon-gil, Buk-gu, Gwangju, Building A, 2nd floor.

Filling Donkatsu, this pork cutlet spot in Cheomdan, Gwangju, actually has its main branch in Yongbong-dong, Gwangju! It's so good I figured more branches would pop up everywhere, but ㅜㅜ still nothing yet… Would you consider opening one in Bitgaram-dong, Naju? I'd welcome it with open arms~!

Is there parking at Filling Donkatsu Cheomdan?

There was a parking lot, so parking was easy haha

Filling Donkatsu is in Building A, so I'd recommend parking near Building A!!!!! Then head up to the 2nd floor go go go

The interior is nice and clean like this!!

There are baby chairs and a private room too!! There was a group of guests there so I couldn't just snap a photo lol. Great place to bring a group and enjoy some good katsu! haha And then, the self bar~!

The kimchi is at the self bar, so if you want kimchi you have to go get it yourself!!!! Pickles come standard, but kimchi is self-service!!!

There's soup there too!!! Soup is included with the meal, and if you want more, go for a refill go go go go. I love soup too so I refilled once more haha

Everything matters, but honestly the most important thing is just the taste lol. It's seriously so good ㅠㅠㅠ I really wish there was one in my neighborhood, please ㅠㅠㅠ

Menu prices and the 500-won receipt review event

They're also running a receipt review event for just ₩500, don't miss it~!!!!!! I wondered if I could get both, so I applied for both — and I actually got both haha. I got the shrimp tempura and the grapefruit ade!!!👍👍👍

They also have set menus, which is nice! Especially since there's a set menu for one, great for solo diners too👍👍

We already knew what we wanted, so we ordered à la carte! Straight to the tenderloin katsu and the whole cheese katsu!

There's a whole spread of dishes beyond the katsu too! Pasta, risotto pilaf, all sorts of things!!! But we went straight for what we came for!

This thing is seriously a wonder…

The cheese is melted to just the right consistency ㅠㅠ A flavor I genuinely want to eat again!!! Even looking at it now makes my mouth water

Cheese lovers can't skip this one! Last time I came with my niece and she loved it too haha

This one genuinely surprises you when you eat it

You can really taste how juicy the katsu is. You have to try this one ㅠㅠ Please ㅠㅠ I think of this as Filling Donkatsu's signature dish!!! I order it every time I come, and so does my husband!! My husband, a diehard katsu lover, went as far as saying it's the juiciest tenderloin katsu he's ever had lol

That first bite is truly incredible!! I want more already, seriously

Shrimp tempura and grapefruit ade from the receipt review

I also got and drank the grapefruit ade, and this too was way too good haha. It paired so well with the katsu!!!👍👍👍

Finally, a full spread lol. One tenderloin katsu and one cheese katsu that we couldn't resist lol. Once we finished it all we were sad it was over, so we added an extra tenderloin piece^^

₩5,000 buys you a little extra happiness

Another round of juicy tenderloin katsu showed up~! Seriously, looking at it again makes me want to eat it all over again 🥹, a pork cutlet spot I truly love. I need to come back here before I give birth lol

Free dessert at Filling Donkatsu: soft-serve and iced americano

And I even took part in a little survey event and scored a zero-sugar cola~! A perfect finish haha. But wait, it's not over yet! Free soft-serve! Free iced americano too!

For the iced americano, they even have ice cups ready so you just pour it in haha. This Cheomdan pork cutlet spot in Gwangju even takes care of dessert! Filling Donkatsu!👍👍👍 Seriously the best

Even the Filling iced americano in its cute ice cup👍👍. A truly great restaurant that takes care of you down to the very last sip. I'll be back again and again when I'm in Cheomdan!!!! haha. I think this might just be my favorite restaurant in Cheomdan💗
