Mokpo men’s hair salon down perm and dandy cut: Hols Men’s Hair

I followed my boyfriend to Hols Men’s Hair, a men’s hair salon in Hadang! We’d only ever gone to regular salons until now, so this was our first barbershop visit, and it was so comfortable and nice haha.

We booked ahead through Naver Reservation, choosing both our visit time and the hairstyle we wanted!! The shop stays open until 9 p.m., so even though we came after work, there was plenty of time, which was great haha 👍🏻

American vintage-inspired interior

The interior had an American vintage vibe, like something out of a foreign movie, so it felt hip and cool haha. I was too shy to ask whether that bike is actually ridden or just decoration, but it was so pretty!! I want to ride a bike but can’t, so whenever I see a pretty one like that, I just can’t take my eyes off it 🥹

There were about four styling chairs.

There was a private-looking shampoo room, waiting area, individual room, and restroom. The waiting area even had a massage chair, so you can relax and ease your tiredness while waiting for someone’s hair appointment~~ 👍🏻👍🏻

Consultation for a short-hair down perm and cut

Before getting started, we had a consultation~ The hair designer was Manager Hyeok haha. We originally came thinking we might try a perm, but his hair was still short, so we decided to leave some length on top with this cut and grow it out for a perm next time. His sides are naturally wavy and tend to stick out, so the stylist recommended smoothing them down with a down perm. We’d already been debating between a down perm and a regular perm before visiting, so we decided to go with that and got started right away!! 😉

Then we held his hair down with a headband and waited 10 minutes haha. But why do you look so funny with that headband on, babe? Is this right? Hahaha 🤣

We sat together and had tea while the solution soaked in haha. Oh, I heard there’s usually a cute dog named Sugar here, but I didn’t see one, so I asked. Sugar is the owner’s dog, and the owner was off that day, so Sugar hadn’t come in too,, 🥹 I wanted to see the doggy, what a shame haha.

Hahahaha, feels refreshing?? Even the mosaic couldn’t hide that expression, so we ended up using a sticker 🤣🤣🤣🤣 After drying his hair and finishing the cut, we were all done. Now, let me show you the before and after!!

His hair definitely feels lighter and looks neater than before!! It has that dandy-cut feel too haha 🥰 My boyfriend happens to be going to his younger sister’s wedding this time, and he was really happy, saying it was a good choice to go for a neat style instead of a perm 😆 👍🏻 But next time, let’s grow it out and try a perm too~~
