What kind of bakery is Zoblack?
Zoblack is a salt bread specialty bakery on the first floor of the Marine City Xi commercial building at 9 Marine City 1-ro, Haeundae, Busan. Whenever I come to Haeundae's Marine City, I always drop by my favorite salt bread spot — Zoblack revisit! 💛 If you love salt bread, you've probably heard of this Marine City icon!! I went back again haha!!

Whenever I'm around Haeundae's Marine City, this is always on my route — my favorite bakery! The salt bread variety here is seriously huge, and the quality is next-level, so I end up amazed every single time. Not just salt bread — the tigre (a butter cake dessert) here is incredibly delicious too...🤤💓 Browsing the shop is fun on its own, and this time I picked exactly what suits my taste, had it beautifully packed, and properly enjoyed it as dessert after my meal!
Zoblack's storefront, interior and open bakery kitchen
Zoblack sits on the street-facing side of the first floor of the Marine City Xi apartment commercial building, so even first-timers can find it right away!!

Even from a distance, the chic, substantial exterior — reminiscent of a classic European shop or a moody tailor's atelier — catches your eye instantly ✨
Walk in with excitement, and you're met with deep wood tones, calm grays, and soft lighting that come together for a very stylish, upscale feel!
The shop itself isn't huge like a large bakery café, but the flow is very efficiently arranged around a long showcase — it's a takeout-focused bakery. There's also a small, cozy table on one side where you can sit and rest for a bit, which seemed great for stopping by casually with a coffee.
And the best part — there's an open bakery kitchen behind a glass window on one side of the shop!! Watching the baker shape dough and bake bread right in front of you really builds trust haha. They apparently strictly follow a same-day-made, same-day-sold policy, and the smell of freshly baked butter filling the whole shop made picking bread genuinely happy work...🥰
Zoblack salt bread menu and prices
Walk up to the Zoblack showcase and your eyes go wide at the densely packed salt bread lineup 🤩!!

Along the L-shaped showcase, starting from plain salt bread, incredible sweet-savory combos like red bean butter, green onion cream cheese, basil tomato, jambon beurre, mentaiko (spicy pollock roe), truffle, and sweet garlic all catch your eye!

On top of that, there's a whole fun sweet lineup — poppin' chicken, churros, hotteok, chocolate, cream, almond, mocha, Dubai, and glutinous rice cake salt bread — so it's a happy dilemma trying to decide what to grab ^0^! Besides salt bread, they also have baked goods and desserts like lemon madeleine, matcha tigre, earl grey tigre, tiger cookies (chocolate tigre), and Basque cheesecake!
They say they use French flour, durum wheat, and premium Danish butter to maximize the flavor when baking! Basic salt bread starts at ₩2,800, and the ones packed with filling run ₩3,000-4,000, which felt very satisfying value-wise given the premium ingredients 💖
By the way, if you buy 6 or more salt breads, they pack them neatly into a dedicated box — the packaging is so upscale it's perfect for gifts or thank-you presents!
How did the Zoblack salt bread taste after takeout?
This time my Zoblack haul was 3 basic salt breads + 1 churros salt bread + 1 truffle salt bread + 1 tiger cookie (chocolate tigre) 🛍️✨ I wanted to take everything home, but after careful deliberation, I picked the ones that matched my taste lol!
Tasting them one by one after dinner, Zoblack's overall bread quality and flavor exceeded expectations, as always ㅠㅠ!! The biggest charm of Zoblack's salt bread is the perfect harmony of crispy outside, chewy-moist inside, and that buttery, crackly bottom texture!!
Basic salt bread

The more you chew the basic salt bread, the more the savory, salty flavor of the premium butter spreads through your mouth — a true showcase of what a Marine City bakery's salt bread should taste like!
Truffle salt bread

The truffle salt bread was generously stuffed with filling, so every bite brought a luxurious truffle aroma paired with that sweet-savory combo — so appealing!! It wasn't overly rich or heavy, and the harmony with the savory butter was just artful!
Churros salt bread
The churros salt bread combined sweet cinnamon sugar with the crispy-outside, chewy-inside salt bread base, making it fantastic as a dessert!
Tigre (chocolate almond cake)

Zoblack's tigre is seriously seriously delicious!! The chewy yet heavy chocolate flavor spreading through it is amazing ㅠㅠ A must-buy item! It confirmed once again why salt bread fans consider this a legendary Haeundae bakery.
