Hadan, Busan lash salon: rounded, not right-angle L-curl, Bitnaneun
In short
Bitnaneun Lash Wax Skin (빛나는속눈썹왁싱피부) is an all-in-one lash, waxing and skin care salon near Exit 8 of Hadan Station in Saha, Busan. The writer loves sharply lifted lashes but found them touching her eyelids, so after a consultation she got a lash perm in a rounded L-curl that doesn't bend at a sharp angle. Her verdict: the Bitnaneun L-curl kept her lashes defined without touching the eyelid and looked natural from day one.

These days, once you get a lash perm done, you don't need to bother with an eyelash curler, which is so convenient. This time I went to Bitnaneun Lash Wax Skin (빛나는속눈썹왁싱피부) in Hadan for a lash perm.

Where is Bitnaneun Lash Wax Skin in Hadan, and what are the hours?
Bitnaneun Lash Wax Skin is at 1422 Nakdongnam-ro, Saha-gu, Busan, on the 4th floor. It's close to Exit 8 of Hadan Station, so it's easy to reach by public transport. Hours are Mon–Fri 10:00–21:00 and Saturday 10:00–19:00, and it's closed every Sunday.
By my own feel, it was about a 1-minute walk from the exit, so I got there quickly.

Can you get waxing and skin care besides lashes?
As the name (Bitnaneun Lash Wax Skin) suggests, it isn't a lash-only place. Besides lash perms and extensions, you can also get waxing and skin care, so it's a full beauty shop. Not having to hunt around for different treatments and getting them all in one place seemed really convenient.

Such a clean interior!

The waiting area and the powder room where you can wash your face were both clean and pretty.

How did the lash perm consultation go?
I had my lash perm with the manager in charge, and what I liked most was the consultation before the treatment. She didn't just ask which curl I wanted; she started by looking carefully at the shape of my lashes.

She looked at the condition of my lashes and my eye shape, and explained in detail which curl would suit me.
The problem: sharply lifted lashes touching the eyelid
I've always liked my lashes lifted sharply. Crisp, upturned lashes look pretty to me, so I used to get that style a lot. The problem was that when they went up too sharply, the lashes sometimes touched my eyelid! They look pretty at first, but if they keep touching when your eyes are open through the day, it's honestly quite uncomfortable T_T

Won't an L-curl look bent at a right angle?
Once I told her about the eyelid-touching problem, the manager recommended an L-curl as the best fit for my eye shape. When I hear "L-curl," I somehow picture lashes bent at a sharp right angle from the root. But she set it as an L-curl with a rounded finish, so it wouldn't look like that.

When I saw the finished curl, it didn't look angular the way I'd worried. The roots are lifted firmly, yet the overall line flows smoothly, so it feels natural :) Best of all, the lashes don't stick right onto my eyelid. She kept some of the sharply lifted look I usually love while adjusting the curl so it's comfortable on my eye shape, and that's what I personally liked most.

Did the lash perm look natural right after?
The rounded L-curl lash perm looked surprisingly natural from the day of the treatment. It really seems that with a lash perm, finding a design that suits your eye shape matters more than just lifting as much as possible. Right after treatment I wondered if the perm look would be strong and a bit awkward, but I liked it :) With every single lash lifted, my eyes looked neat too.

If you want a sharp curl but hate lashes touching your eyelid
I liked that this consultation felt like finding a middle ground between the style I used to love and the style that actually suits my eyes. Instead of applying the design I wanted as is, she looked at my lashes and eye shape in person and told me what direction suited me, which made choosing much easier.
If you're researching lash perms in Hadan and, like me, want sharply lifted lashes but find them uncomfortable when they touch your eyelid, I'd definitely mention that during your consultation.
This time I was happy with a curl that has the definition I wanted without looking overly bent. To help this pretty curl last, I'm going to diligently apply a lash serum at home now :)
