Chat Baker: a bakery café near Anseong Farmland found on a weekend drive
Chat Baker (챗 베이커) is a brunch and bakery café in Gongdo, Anseong. I recently drove out near Anseong Farmland, and I liked Chat Baker so much after finding it by chance that I wanted to introduce it to you.
Is parking easy at Chat Baker in Anseong?
Chat Baker is inside 512 Square in Gongdo, so there was really plenty of parking!! Parking is the first thing I check when visiting a café. It's easy enough even on weekends that I think beginner drivers could visit without stress.
A relaxed 500-pyeong space with plenty of seating

True to its 500 pyeong size, the café feels wide and airy. The seats are spaced far apart and the tables are laid out comfortably, so it's easy to spend a relaxed time here. Soft music was playing, and it suited the café's mood perfectly.
🥐 A bakery café bread lovers will enjoy

Another charm of Chat Baker is its wide range of bakery items. The breads are baked in-store and there are so many kinds that I stood in front of the display for a long time trying to decide.

Chat Baker's signature bread: salt bread
The most famous item at Chat Baker is the salt bread (a buttery roll with a salted, crisp bottom)! Crisp outside, chewy inside, with a rich butter flavor, so I immediately understood why it's popular.

How do Chat Baker's salt bread, sausage bread and cream puff bread taste?
I picked the salt bread, sausage bread and cream puff bread. Overall they were mild rather than strongly flavored, so they were easy to eat without feeling heavy. The salt bread especially goes really well with coffee, so I recommend trying it if you visit.

Individually wrapped butter tteok (rice cake), good for gifts
Chat Baker also sells butter tteok (butter rice cake), which is trendy right now, and since each piece is individually wrapped it would make a nice gift :)
☕ Best drink at Chat Baker: Jeju fresh carrot lemon juice

The drinks range from Americano to drip coffee, tea and juice, and there were also items like a house-made vanilla bean latte and Jeju fresh carrot lemon juice! The fresh carrot lemon juice has a pretty color, feels healthy and was so delicious. I recommend it!
There are plenty of drinks that go well with bread here, so I think any choice would be satisfying :)
🍽️ Chat Baker brunch and bingsu menu

Chat Baker also serves brunch. There was a good range of meals, including truffle cream risotto, pollock roe and shrimp oil pasta, mushroom perilla cream pasta, tomato seafood pasta and corn cream soup!
They sell bingsu (shaved ice dessert) too: red bean, mango, choco forest, cheese and black sesame milk, among others. It's not just a place for coffee and dessert, you can have a full brunch here, so I can see why it seems popular as a date spot!
