Jangrokdong 365 is a hanwoo (Korean beef) barbecue restaurant on Jinsangmi-ro 2344beon-gil in Icheon, Gyeonggi, with a lawn yard, a rooftop, pet-friendly seating and parking. On a Friday evening the writer ordered the 25,000-won-per-person hanwoo and Korean pork value set, plus one extra serving of striploin and naengmyeon (cold noodles) for dessert. Staff grilled everything at the table, and both the marbled hanwoo and the scored pork belly were superb. For a date or group dinner in Icheon where you feel looked after, Jangrokdong 365 is a strong pick.

Gladyburger Icheon Jungri District branch is a handmade burger restaurant on Buak-ro in the Jungri District of Icheon, Gyeonggi. The writer ordered the wasabi whole shrimp burger, BBQ smoky chicken burger, Chili's whole mozzarella cheese sticks and sweet potato fries, and praised the fresh ingredients and generous portions. Gladyburger broke the writer's assumption that handmade burgers are simply overpriced, and a return visit is already planned.

People & Peoples is a pizza-and-beer dining bar near Exit 7 of Sangdong Station in Bucheon, Gyeonggi. On a humid day, the writer went early in the evening for an Ambrosia pastry pizza piled high with potato flakes, gambas in plenty of olive oil, and a large draft beer. The Ambrosia pizza is good right to the edge of its pastry crust, so a pizza-and-beer night at People & Peoples needs few other snacks.
