In short

AutoGrooming Clean View is a glass film remover I tested on a car windshield and bathroom glass in Korea. I wondered whether a glass film remover for car windshields could also be used on a bathroom mirror. I received AutoGrooming Clean View glass film remover and tried it myself on a car windshield, a bathroom mirror, and shower-booth glass.

I was skeptical at first, but when I tried it on the bathroom mirror, the difference between the cleaned area and the area where water scale remained was easy to see.

There was no harsh smell or sticky, resistant feeling while using it. I also checked before use that it carried the safety-confirmation label.

How did I clean the car windshield?

On rainy days, the windshield looked hazy, and even after using the wipers it did not feel fully clear. I was especially bothered by headlights appearing to spread across the glass film.

First, I sprayed water over the glass to rinse away surface grime. Then I put an appropriate amount of the glass film remover onto the included towel.

Moving the towel in straight lines, I rubbed it repeatedly about four or five times.

At first, the water seemed to bead on top of the glass, but as I rubbed, it felt as though the solution was adhering to the surface.

Finally, I sprayed water over it and rinsed it clean.

Comparing before and after, the area where stains remained looked hazy, while the area I rubbed looked smoother. In my case, I could notice a difference without pressing hard on the towel.

What about water scale on the bathroom mirror and shower booth?

The bathroom mirror and shower-booth glass at home had white water scale that would not come off easily, even with cleaning. Since it was a car product, I hesitated at first, but I tested it myself and quickly noticed a change in the rubbed area.

I spread the Clean View solution evenly over it, then rubbed the broad surface about five times with the included towel.

For areas that were difficult to rub, I lightly dampened the towel with water and finished cleaning them.

The white water scale that had not come off well even with a melamine sponge or scrubber felt as though it was lifting away after a few passes with the towel. It cleaned off without much force, so I felt the effort involved in bathroom cleaning was reduced.

What did I keep in mind while cleaning?

  • It cleaned much more smoothly when the glass surface was wet rather than dry.
  • There was a caution that, if it gets on rubber or plastic molding, it should be rinsed off with water right away.
  • After using it on one car, I used what remained to clean the bathroom too.

What did I like most after using it in both places?

On both the car windshield and bathroom glass, the areas I cleaned looked clearer. The method of rubbing several times with the towel was simple, and what I liked most was being able to see a change without using much force.
