Pork belly vs flower pork neck at a Bucheon BBQ: Cham Dwaejitgan
In short
Cham Dwaejitgan Bucheon Sinjung-dong Branch is a 24-hour Korean BBQ restaurant a 3-minute walk from Exit 3 of Sinjung-dong Station in Bucheon, Gyeonggi. The order was one serving of signature pork belly and two servings of flower pork neck, both Boseong Nokdon pork grilled over charcoal by the staff, finished with bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold noodles) and fried rice, and every vegetable side dish except minari came with free refills. Ordering pork belly and pork neck together makes Cham Dwaejitgan a good place to compare the two cuts side by side.

Paid for with my own money / A Korean BBQ spot worth trying in Bucheon Sinjung-dong: Cham Dwaejitgan Bucheon Sinjung-dong Branch

I was craving meat in Sinjung-dong and ended up at Cham Dwaejitgan Bucheon Sinjung-dong Branch! They grill the meat for you here, so I got to eat comfortably haha 😊

If you're visiting with a group, this could work well as a company dinner spot, and there's plenty of menu variety for anyone looking for a BBQ place.

Both the signature pork belly and the flower pork neck are made with Boseong Nokdon pork, apparently. I liked that they use good quality pork.

There's something fun about grilling meat over real charcoal, and using Boseong Nokdon pork was a plus too. Ordering pork belly and pork neck together let me compare the different flavors and textures, which was enjoyable.
What side dishes come with the meal
Side dishes and accompaniments, done right

Cham Dwaejitgan apparently uses domestic minari (water dropwort). And except for the minari, all the veggie side dishes are unlimited refills, so I could grab as much as I needed. I tend to eat a lot of wrap veggies and side dishes with my meat, so this was great.

Ordering one pork belly and two flower pork neck servings
I wanted to try pork belly and pork neck together, so I ordered 1 serving of signature pork belly and 2 servings of flower pork neck. Pork belly alone is nice, but ordering pork neck alongside it lets you enjoy different textures and flavors — I'm a fan of this combo.

The grill plate was a bit different from the usual ones too — apparently it's a custom-made grill designed to keep oil from splattering everywhere.

Oil splattering everywhere while grilling can be surprisingly stressful, so it felt like they'd thought about that detail too.

I started with the signature pork belly — grilled to a golden brown, and the first bite had that rich, savory flavor come through properly.

Above all, the staff grilled everything for us with real skill — so delicious.

There was a subtle charcoal aroma woven through it too — definitely different from just pan-frying! They specifically highlight the juices carrying that distinct rice-husk-smoked flavor, and I could really taste that gentle smokiness in the meat.

When you're looking for Bucheon Sinjung-dong pork belly, the flavor of the meat itself matters, but so does what kind of charcoal and grill plate they use. On that front, grilling over real charcoal was genuinely fun.
Personally, I quite liked the flower pork neck that day too. If you're visiting as a pair, ordering pork belly and pork neck together means you get to enjoy a variety of cuts, which I think is great.
They also had several sauces ready to go — ssamjang (soybean paste), spicy sauce, salt, and wasabi — so depending on which sauce you pair with the meat, you get a different flavor experience each time.

They also suggest a way to enjoy it best: wrapping the meat with sliced potato and mushrooms is delicious too.

Finishing with bibim naengmyeon and fried rice
After eating a good amount of meat, I ordered bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold noodles) too. Cleansing your palate with tangy cold noodles after meat just makes you keep eating, haha. The combo of meat and naengmyeon never fails.

And finally, we wrapped things up with fried rice too. Meat, then naengmyeon, and then fried rice on top of that — looking back, we really ate our hearts out that day lol. Between the meat, the noodles, and the fried rice, it was a seriously filling meal.

How the grilling service works at the table
While eating, I noticed a lot of little things set up to make dining comfortable for guests. There was phone charging, hair ties, disposable aprons, plastic bags to store your clothes, kids' tableware, and wifi, plus dental floss, toothpicks, mouthwash, breath mints, and even Febreze. After eating meat, the smell can linger on you, so having all this ready felt really thoughtful.
This time at Cham Dwaejitgan Sinjung-dong Branch I had 1 serving of signature pork belly + 2 servings of flower pork neck + bibim naengmyeon + fried rice, and came away having enjoyed everything from the meat to the meal menu.

If you're looking for Bucheon Sinjung-dong pork belly, I'd especially recommend ordering pork neck alongside the pork belly. From the sauces and side dishes you need while eating meat to the amenities you can use afterward, everything was thoughtfully prepared — it felt like a place that cared not just about taste but about comfort throughout the whole meal.
