Nowon hair salon full men's down perm for fine, thin hair: Yeum Hair

It was my partner's hair day! Straight after work we headed to Yeum Hair Nowon District Office branch near Nowon Station. The treatments were a men's cut and a down perm.

Yeum Hair Nowon District Office branch is 242 m from Exit 7 of Nowon Station (Lines 4 and 7). Parking is available for a fee, and you can use the Nowon District Office or a public car park.

The salon is on the 2nd floor of 447 Nohae-ro, Nowon, Seoul. Hours are Mon & Wed 10:00-19:00, Tue/Thu/Fri 10:00-21:00, Sat & Sun 10:00-20:00. Closing time differs by day, so keep that in mind!!

I booked on Naver in advance and picked a designer beforehand.

Busy even on a weekday evening: the salon atmosphere

We arrived around 5:30 on a weekday and there were already quite a few customers.

The waiting area is quite spacious too.

The salon is pleasant and roomy, so even with lots of customers it never felt stuffy!

I liked how the big space is divided up efficiently.

Fine, thin men's hair: how the consultation went

My partner's hair had grown out so much, haha. It was our first time at a salon together! lol I had a short, neat style I like in mind, so I did the consultation with the designer myself, lol. Of course my partner liked that style too.

My partner's hair is fine and not very thick, so the hairstyle matters even more. They don't get a down perm every time, but last month's down perm and cut turned out well, so we decided to do it again! The designer was very kind and thorough in the consultation^^

Down perm only on the sides? A full down perm includes the back

I assumed a down perm was only for the sideburns, but the designer at Yeum Hair Nowon District Office branch recommended it for the back hair too. It suited my partner's head shape, so after hearing the explanation we decided on a full down perm right away. Can't wait ♥.♥

Up close, my partner's hair was much longer than I thought, lol. I always feel it, but short and neat really is best for guys..?!

Thanks to that, my partner was totally relaxed, lol!

How the full down perm went

After the cut we moved to a seat by the window and started the down perm. The sideburns were pressed down and the back hair was lifted slightly. After applying the product, we left it for about 10 minutes. Then the designer applied a product that reduces hair damage.

My partner's eye-smile was exactly like this emoticon, lol. They went to the shampoo room, came back with a clean wash and a scalp massage, and the designer dried their hair while explaining in detail how to style it easily.

Even just roughly dried, my partner's hair already looked much neater and tidier.

Men's down perm and cut: before and after

Once it was fully dry, the designer fixed the hair again. The back and sideburns were trimmed perfectly, so my partner looked great from every angle♥

The hair looks fuller and the volume is clearly alive, so the before and after was really obvious, lol

Yeum Hair Nowon District Office branch is a go-to for men's down perms and cuts, lol. Neither my partner nor I knew a down perm could be done all over until now.

We were both very happy with my partner's hairstyle! My partner was amazed by the designer's kindness, lol.

Straight from the salon to a Nowon dinner date

There are lots of good restaurants near Nowon, so right after the haircut we went off for tasty meat! Before that, we took our October Life Four Cuts (photo booth strip) ♥

Oops, we were both so busy going to dinner that we forgot to download the photos for the first time, haha. Let's keep this hairstyle for a while!
