We went well after dinner time, and the restaurant was still bustling! The customers were a mix, from people enjoying a light drink with their meal to families out for dinner. Seeing so many people come this late, I thought, yep, this is a popular gukbap place.

Mubokka Gamsam Branch has a really wide range of gukbap. We ordered sundae gukbap and the one-person suyuk (boiled pork slices) set! The one-person suyuk set comes with pork gukbap plus suyuk.

How does Mubokka's sundae gukbap taste?

This is the sundae gukbap I ordered! One spoonful in, and there was so much sundae and meat! The milky broth was so rich and mild that my whole body felt like it was melting.

Pork gukbap comes with glass noodles

This is the pork gukbap! It comes with dangmyeon (glass noodles) rather than thin wheat noodles, and it's really good!!

The broth was rich yet clean, so delicious! I usually don't put rice into my gukbap, but Mubokka's broth was so good that I found myself mixing the rice in without thinking.

The first bowl of gukbap I ever finished

It was so good that I emptied the whole bowl! Honestly, this is the first time I've ever finished a full bowl of gukbap. That's how excellent the broth at Mubokka Gamsam Branch was ❤️

My boyfriend also loaded his pork gukbap with seasoning paste (dadaegi) and chives and mixed in his rice. He kept eating and saying, "The broth here is seriously amazing 👍"

The amount of meat is huge too, and the broth is just incredible! 😍 Rather than a thick, heavy broth, it has the clean, mild flavor typical of 100% bone broth, which I found really appealing. Maybe because it's light and not overwhelming, I saw lots of people eating alone. It's great for a hearty meal, and just right for dining solo comfortably.

How is the suyuk in the one-person suyuk set?

The one-person suyuk set came with suyuk too. It looked soft and tender just by looking at it.

Look how juicy the meat is,,❤️

The suyuk at Mubokka Gamsam Branch was soft and moist, and really delicious! It had no gamy smell, with a mild, nutty flavor. The more I chewed, the more nutty juices I tasted, and it wasn't dry at all, so it was easy to eat. It paired really well with the gukbap too!

Wrapped in lettuce with seasoned chives and radish salad (musaengchae), it was fantastic! If gukbap alone feels like not enough, I really recommend the suyuk set 👍

Americano for dessert and final verdict

Mubokka Gamsam Branch also has Americano for dessert. I finally found a gukbap place I'm really happy with! 😊 The generous amount of meat and the clean, mild broth made from 100% bone broth were both really impressive.
