A big Paju café, Brick Rouge, and a brunch date watching the sunset. This is Romi's Attic travel vlog, where I record moments and remember them through taste. Let's start!

If you pass through Paju Publishing City, you'll see a huge four-story brunch café of about 1,000 pyeong. It's Brick Rouge, a big Paju café with wonderful sunsets, and today I'm telling you about my third visit as a Paju date course. It's full of freshly baked bread and you can have brunch too. I've put together the menu, the atmosphere and the parking, all in detail!!
What kind of café is Brick Rouge? Sunset settling over red brick
Brick Rouge (브릭루즈, Brique Rouge) means "red brick" in French, and the café's red brick exterior carries that name literally. Once I knew the meaning, it felt even friendlier.
Red brick wraps the whole building, and with the plant interior it reminds me of a little European bakery. That exotic mood is a big part of the charm.

Around dusk the brick color looks like the sunset glow, so the name "red brick" suits it well.

Four floors and 1,000 pyeong hold the scent of fresh bread, hearty brunch and a different interior on every floor. Among Paju bakery cafés, this is one where the name and the space really come together.
Where is Brick Rouge?
Brick Rouge is a four-story big Paju café right in the middle of Paju Book City in Munbal-dong. Stopping here alone is enough to fill a day, there's so much to enjoy.
It's close to Paju Lotte Outlets and Paju Publishing City, so it's a good spot for a drive from Unjeong, Ilsan, Imjingak or the Seoul outskirts. It's popular as a weekend date course too, and I saw lots of couples.
Is parking easy at Brick Rouge?
The parking here is really well set up. There's a private lot in front of the building, plus a lot across the road behind the building and a second lot.
Among Paju brunch cafés, this is one you can come to without worrying about parking, so I felt at ease about family outings too.
Brick Rouge exterior and terrace atmosphere
The four-story, 1,000-pyeong red brick building stands out at a glance from far away, a big Paju café.

From the European-style gate to the big windows on every floor and the large sign, everything blends with the building like a single landscape. The closer I got, the clearer the exotic charm became, and I was already excited before stepping inside.

The 3rd-floor outdoor terrace and the 4th-floor rooftop have string bulbs, so when the sun sets the warm lights come on and complete a romantic evening view. On snowy days it gets a Christmas mood too, which makes it a good midwinter outing spot.
How does the inside of Brick Rouge differ floor by floor?
Open the door and bam!!! A wide-open main space unfolds. With the overwhelming atmosphere and a different concept on each floor, it was fun to explore all the way up to the 4th floor.
With plush sofas and chairs, big tables, sunny floor-to-ceiling windows, a floor-seating family zone good for kids and a moody rooftop terrace, it's a true Paju brunch café where you can linger all day.
The whole building has an elevator, and every floor has a return cart that makes bussing easy, plus restrooms. The 2nd floor has a cozy nursing room with a sink, and floors 1–3 have microwaves, so parents coming with kids can use it comfortably.
1st floor: bakery and brunch zone
As a Paju bakery café should, Brick Rouge has a different mood on each side of every floor.

The left side of the 1st floor is full of freshly baked bread, and it's where you order.

Past the center, the right side is the brunch area,

where you can take your order and eat on a comfy sofa.
2nd floor: bridge terrace zone
Cross the 2nd-floor bridge and you reach a wide, comfortable terrace zone.

Wood-tone interior and big windows make it feel cozy,

and there are seats where you can work on a laptop too.
2nd floor: garden-concept baking room

The 2nd-floor garden-concept baking room is a green space that feels like being in a forest. It has a big table that seats 6,

and by the window there's a comfy sofa with a view beyond the big windows.
3rd floor: cozy-concept floor seating
The 3rd-floor cozy space has a pyeongsang (low wooden platform) where you can sit with kids. The black-tone interior and leather chairs go well together, and I really loved this cozy space.
On one side there's a photo zone decorated with teddy bears and Mickey Mouse that kids love, so it was comfortable and fun to stay with children. I snapped a photo here too!
3rd floor: outdoor terrace zone
The 3rd-floor outdoor terrace was a prime spot for watching the sunset. String bulbs add to the mood, and on a nice day you get a picnic feel. I really loved this place too.
It's comfortable, with roomy tables and a floor-seating area. There's a photo zone, so it's great for taking pictures with kids. Brick Rouge was a bakery café that suits both a Paju date and a family outing.
4th floor: rooftop terrace zone with sunset views
Take the elevator up to the Brick Rouge 4th-floor rooftop and there's a study-like space. Walk through it and the open rooftop welcomes you!! Nothing blocks the view, and the wide vista cools your heart too.
It has string bulbs, so around sunset the warm lights come on and it gets even cozier. It's a good place to linger with a cup of coffee in the cool breeze, and I wanted to end my day here.

What's in the Brick Rouge ₩59,000 couple set, and how does it taste?

The Brick Rouge Couple Set (₩59,000) comes with a mini salad, your choice of pasta or risotto, one pizza and two drinks, and it was really good value for a Paju brunch café. Last time I had the Big Brunch Set, and today I ordered the Couple Set.

The mini salad is small but solid. It's packed with fresh vegetables and ricotta cheese, so it was great for waking up the appetite before the meal.

The roast chicken pasta is slightly spicy with a rosé-sauce-like flavor, and it matched the smoky char of the chicken well. The thick sauce and the noodles clung to each other, and every bite spread a rich flavor through my mouth.

For the pizza, we ordered the ranch potato pizza my partner likes. The stretchy, cheese-loaded look caught my eye right away, and the fluffy potato texture was still there. The savory aroma of a warm, house-baked pizza and the chewy cheese meant it tasted good even after it cooled.
Two ades chosen as the set drinks
For the Couple Set drinks, we ordered the homemade orange ade and the green grape tok-tok ade. The orange ade added a fresh zing that cleaned up my mouth after the meal, and the green grape ade had grape bits popping into my mouth, sweet and full of fizz.
