Today I'm introducing Café Buajang, a Millak-dong café in Busan that's great for a Gwangalli date or a Gwangalli café tour 🏡✨

Café Buajang is a Gwangalli dessert café where you can enjoy all kinds of tiramisu along with coffee and other drinks.

I especially recommend it because it's a cozy café made from a house in a Millak-dong alley. If you're looking for a pretty, relaxed Gwangalli café, give Café Buajang in the Millak-dong residential area a try!
Where is Café Buajang and what are its hours?
Café Buajang (카페 부아장) is at 30 Millakbondong-ro 27beon-gil, Suyeong-gu, Busan, in a Millak-dong alley. It's open Mon, Wed, Thu 11:00-21:00 and Fri-Sun 11:00-19:00, and closed every Tuesday.

The café sits in a Millak-dong alley, and it's a Gwangalli dessert café that works nicely as a stroll after looking around Gwangalli Beach.
Cafés facing the sea are lovely, but sometimes you want a quiet, calm café tucked in an alley. Café Buajang is the place I'd bookmarked for a Gwangalli date or a solo café visit! 🏠
What's the space like at this converted Millak-dong house café?
I heard Café Buajang was made by renovating a big house. From the outside, the building felt totally different from everything around it, and I was surprised when such a pretty building suddenly appeared 🫢 I've been to Millak-dong and Gwangalli many times, but I've never seen such a big, pretty café! From outside it even looked a bit like a gallery, so I was curious what the inside would be like.
A yard path leads from the entrance, and when you open the door, a bright space full of leafy potted plants opens up 🪴 It's a large café with lots of seats, and plant decor everywhere.
The layout extends wide to the back, so the area guests can use is spacious and relaxed, which I liked.

What did I order at Café Buajang?
I ordered the chestnut tiramisu, an iced Americano, and, on the owner's recommendation, a gelato latte. I grabbed a seat I liked first, then went off to order~~
I'd heard Café Buajang had chestnut tiramisu and rushed over, and luckily it wasn't sold out yet. I love chestnut desserts but had never tried chestnut tiramisu, so I was curious how it would taste.
There were so many kinds of sweet tiramisu, so I thought this is the place to come when you're craving something sweet 💭 It looks like a proper sugar recharge!
Along with the sugar, I needed a caffeine recharge too, so I ordered an iced Americano, plus the gelato latte topped with gelato that the owner recommended.

Gelato latte: vanilla or black sesame?
For the gelato latte at Café Buajang, you can choose vanilla or black sesame gelato to go on top. I was drawn to a clean sweetness, so I picked vanilla. Both are probably rich and sweet, but if you prefer something nuttier and deeper, try the black sesame gelato latte~!

The vanilla gelato had a lovely vanilla aroma 👍🏻 I was told it's premium gelato made with natural ingredients, a low-fat, low-calorie, low-cholesterol ice cream!
I can't even tell how good it is 🤭 With such good ingredients, the taste is premium too.
First, the chewy gelato texture was crazy good, and unlike cheap, just-sweet regular ice cream, it had the deep flavor of vanilla bean and a subtle, classy sweetness, which was charming. The nutty coffee latte with the gelato melting into it was delicious too, totally my taste 😝

How is the Americano at Café Buajang?
The iced Americano at Café Buajang was nutty and clean, perfect with the chestnut tiramisu. The portion is big and the nutty bean flavor is especially good, so I recommend it!

What does the chestnut tiramisu at Café Buajang taste like?
The chestnut tiramisu at Café Buajang is a handmade dessert with real chestnut pieces studded in soft, sweet chestnut cream. Chestnut tiramisu... if you're feeling down, a spoonful of this is hard to beat. It was sweet while the savory chestnut flavor came through well, so it was delicious.

Being handmade, the quality is good and it felt like good ingredients went in generously, so I was happy with it haha

I fell for this soft dessert 😚 Kids and adults alike would enjoy it.
I'd been curious about chestnut tiramisu, and it's a great autumn dessert that goes well with coffee, so I'm glad I ordered it! 🙌🏻

Café Buajang has plenty of tiramisu besides chestnut, so next time I want to come back and conquer them all: coffee, Oreo and banana tiramisu.

Café Buajang's terrace and the cat Ajangi
Café Buajang has a sunny terrace that many guests choose, and a resident cat named Ajangi. Sightseeing is better after eating, right? 😊

After finishing my drinks and dessert, I wanted to look around the café, so I checked out the terrace too. The owner happened to be tending the plants and said the terrace seats are perfect in weather like this lately! Next time I'll try the terrace seats the owner recommended :)
It's a spot guests really love ❣️ I heard stray cats often show up at this sunny terrace café too haha
I didn't meet any stray cats today, but I got to meet Ajangi, who lives at the café, which was even better... 😍 The owner noticed I like cats and showed me Ajangi, who was resting in the office space inside the café.
Isn't Ajangi's name so cute? The café is called Buajang, so they named the cat Ajangi, so clever 👏🏻 Even the short time playing with Ajangi was healing~~ Thanks to the kind owner, I got to look around the whole café and meet cute Ajangi.
Knitted pieces made by the owner
The knitted pieces inside Café Buajang really stood out, and I heard the owner made all of them too! I could only marvel at the amazing skill.

I had fun looking at the works and dove into the fun of the lush plants in this sunny spot 💕

Café Buajang has tasty drinks and desserts, but also so much to look at that I lost track of time haha

If you want a quiet alley café in Gwangalli
Gwangalli is a hotspot popular with locals and tourists alike, so it often feels crowded. When you want to relax quietly, I recommend an alley café in Gwangalli like Café Buajang in Millak-dong.
A Jeju vibe in a Busan Gwangalli alley, you could say?

It's a sunny, bright café prettily decorated with lively plants, and the moment I stepped in, I felt healed.

Besides the atmosphere, the coffee and chestnut tiramisu were distinctive and so delicious 🌰✨ The owners were also very kind, which made me even happier with this Gwangalli-vibe café, Café Buajang!

A solo café trip is nice, but it would also be good with friends on a café tour or with a husband as a Gwangalli date course, so I've saved it as a place to come back to ✔️ Save it as a Gwangalli dessert café and be sure to stop by when you're nearby.
