Dongtan indoor theme park for 3 generations: otter feeding at Artis
In short
Artis Theme Park is an indoor animal experience theme park that fills the entire 9th floor of Sinyu Medi Plaza in Dongtan, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi. A grandmother visited around 4 p.m. with her daughter, son-in-law and 17-month-old granddaughter. The family paid ₩40,500 for two adults while the baby got in free, then did the stamp tour, turtle and otter feeding and the big Dongtan Aquarium tank. Parking, the wait and the diaper-changing space all made Artis Theme Park easy with a baby, and otter feeding was the experience most worth recommending.

Is the wait long at Artis Theme Park in the late afternoon?
We arrived a little late, around 4 p.m., and the parking lot had plenty of room. We waited only about 10 minutes after getting our tickets, so we got in quickly.
We paid ₩40,500 for two adults, and the 17-month-old got in free.
A whole 9th floor of theme park: is it roomy with a baby?
The entire 9th floor of the building is set up as the theme park, so it felt spacious and pleasant. The paths were wide enough that it never felt cramped, even with a baby.
It was lovely to stroll slowly with the baby and take it all in at our own pace.

Collect stamps in each zone and earn a badge
Each zone has a stamp spot, so it was fun to go around stamping one by one. Collect them all and you get a badge, which seems great for giving kids a sense of achievement.
Heading off to find the next zone with the stamp tour book in hand was quite fun too.

Is there a diaper-changing area at Artis Theme Park?
There is a separate diaper-changing area near the entrance, and it seemed to be kept clean. There's a sink next to the changing table too, so washing hands was easy.
You can visit with an infant or toddler without worrying.

Feeding and touch experiences the 17-month-old loved
We picked out food at the feeding corner near the entrance and then started the real experiences.
There were so many feeding and touch experiences kids would love, all over the park. With a basket of food we fed the turtles, and we also met lizards and crayfish up close.

There were animals that are hard to see elsewhere too, like pelicans and a southern tamandua (lesser anteater). There was always something new to look at, so we enjoyed it to the end without a dull moment.

The big tank of the Dongtan aquarium
We spent a good while with the baby in front of the Artis Theme Park tank, where big fish swim by. It's indoors, so you don't have to worry about the weather, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an aquarium in Dongtan.

Otter feeding is a must
If you go to Artis Theme Park, definitely try the otter feeding. The otter's tiny paws touching my hand as it reached for the food were so cute.
It was the experience I'd recommend most from this visit.

Friendly staff
The staff in each zone helped us connect with the animals. They explained safety points right away, so we could look around comfortably.

My honest review
Artis Theme Park was a place both kids and adults could enjoy. From parking to waiting to the facilities, it was easy with a baby, and I was very happy with it.

Please do the otter feeding in particular. It looks like a Halloween event is starting too, so I'd suggest going before that! I strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a theme park in Dongtan.
