Walking into Mibundang, you feel a slightly different vibe from a typical pho shop. The most noticeable thing is the long bar-style seating.

The layout lets you eat while facing the kitchen, so it's not awkward even solo, and overall the atmosphere was quiet and calm.

The shop is also kept neat and tidy, so it felt comfortable throughout the meal. It gave off more of a 'quietly eat good pho and leave' feeling than a place for loud, long conversations. So it seems like a good fit for solo dining or a simple lunch near Dongtan Station.

If you order the side dishes one by one, the price adds up per item, so if you want to try a little of several things, ordering the assorted platter is much better.

From crispy fried items to shrimp-filled ones and shumai, there was a nice variety to try one by one. Of everything I ate that day, the combo of brisket pho + assorted fried platter was pretty satisfying.

Brisket pho has a clean, light broth that works well as the main dish, and the assorted platter lets you try a variety of sides, so ordering them together made a great combo. If two of you visit, it might be nice to order two pho and one assorted platter to share the sides.
