In short

For my mother’s birthday, four of us—my mother, my younger sibling and their spouse, and me—took a trip to Pohang. After looking around the sea and stopping by Jukdo Market, we had lunch at Plan A Restaurant (플랜에이레스토랑), directly across from Songdo Beach. It was a family meal that we paid for ourselves.

Where is it, and is parking available?
Plan A Restaurant is on the fourth floor at 1189 Huimang-daero, Nam-gu, Pohang-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea. It is directly across from Songdo Beach, so we stopped in for a meal after looking around the sea.

There was parking space behind the building, which made it fairly convenient to visit by car. The hours listed in the original post were 11:45–21:00, with a break from 15:30–17:00 and last orders at 20:30. It was listed as closed every Tuesday.

Could we get a window table on Sunday at lunch?
We arrived without a reservation at around noon on Sunday, and there were more diners than I expected. Many tables were reserved, but luckily we got the remaining four-person table by the window.
Long, wide windows made the interior bright and open. We could see the Songdo sea and sky outside, so I kept finding myself looking out while we ate.

We were lucky to sit by the window this time, but if I visit again, I would want to reserve a table with a better view of the sea in advance. Being able to enjoy the sea view with the food stayed with me.

What did four people order, and how much did it cost?
We ordered two Korean beef steaks, one beef tomato spaghetti, and one beef pilaf to share. The prices listed in the original post were ₩49,000 for steak, ₩16,000 for spaghetti, and ₩17,000 for pilaf, and the meal for four came to about ₩130,000.

It was my mother’s first time having steak. She said she had only seen it on TV and was curious, but once she tried it, she said it was delicious and ate well. Seeing that made me think I should have bought it for her sooner.

How were the steak doneness and texture?
We ordered one Korean beef steak medium-well and one well-done. The steak arrived with a good thickness, and we slowly cut and ate it piece by piece.

When we cut into them, the medium-well steak still had some moisture inside, while the well-done steak was cooked through and easy to eat with its clean flavor.

Adding the wasabi and whole-grain mustard that came with it made the flavor feel even cleaner. My mother also said it was softer and tastier than she expected, and ate well.
How were the spaghetti and pilaf for sharing?
The beef tomato spaghetti had plenty of meat, and its rich tomato sauce went well with the noodles. It was topped generously with cheese, which added a savory flavor, and it was good for sharing among several people.

The beef pilaf also had plenty of meat and rice. It was fine to eat alongside the steak and spaghetti.

What stood out about this family birthday meal?
What I liked most was seeing my mother enjoy steak for the first time. Sitting together as a family, celebrating her birthday, and eating while looking at the sea made it a lunch I will remember for a long time. For us, it worked well as a family meal where we could enjoy both the food and the scenery.
