Cleansing balm for dehydrated oily skin: HEEDA Jirisan Charcoal

Why did dehydrated oily skin choose this cleansing balm?

Because my dehydrated oily skin was bothered by the stiff feeling after cleansing foam and the oily feel of cleansing oil, I chose a cleansing balm. I selected it based on post-wash moisture, makeup removal, how gentle it might be on sensitive skin, and a price below ₩20,000.

The product came with a hygiene cap and spatula. The spatula could be stored clipped into the lid, and its raised center meant less product was left on the tool, which was convenient.

How did it remove makeup?

I recreated my usual makeup on the back of a dry hand, scooped out the balm with the spatula, applied it, and rubbed in circles. The texture felt soft like butter, and I emulsified the glittery areas and mascara with water before rinsing.

After rinsing with lukewarm water, the makeup on the back of my hand came off fairly cleanly, and the side where I used it did not feel dry. Since it was my first day using it, I scooped out a slightly generous amount compared with the amount of makeup.

How did it feel on a no-makeup face?

I also tried it on my bare face while showering. During the massage, it felt as though dead skin cells were rolling away, and after washing, my skin texture felt noticeably smoother. I recorded that my skin did not feel tight after cleansing.

For blackheads, I felt a change compared with when I use cleansing oil, but this is my personal impression based on a single use.
