Bathroom glass cleaner for water stains: AutoGrooming Clean View

In short

AutoGrooming Clean View is a glass film remover tested on a bathtub, shower-booth mirrors, and glass partitions at home in Korea. Used with its dedicated towel, it made water-stain cleaning easy and seemed to reduce mirror fogging after a shower. Verdict: a useful two-for-one way to repurpose a car-wash product for bathroom cleaning.

I cleaned bathroom glass with a car glass film remover

AutoGrooming has a glass film remover known for its value, and I finally made real the idea of cleaning household glass that I always had while washing my car. I always considered removing the film from my car essential, so why had I never thought of tackling bathroom moisture the same way...? It is moisture and a film on glass all the same, so I tried cleaning the shower booth with a car glass film remover.

AutoGrooming is originally a company known for car-wash supplies, so naturally I had used this car glass film remover to remove film from windshields. Since it removes windshield film so reliably, I thought it would surely work on a shower-booth mirror too.

How I cleaned the bathtub and shower-booth glass mirror

Clean View is a product that easily removes the oily film on a windshield, and today I tried cleaning the bathroom bathtub and shower-booth glass mirror with it.

Cleaning process for a bathtub and shower-booth glass mirror

Why? I lightly cleaned with the dedicated towel, just as I normally would when cleaning glass or a bathtub—as though wiping away moisture—and the bathroom cleaning was over so easily. I think I may have found a seriously hot item.

Cleaning with Clean View glass film remover using the dedicated towel

Normally, I used a brush or sponge when using a glass film remover, but with AutoGrooming Clean View, I simply cleaned by wiping away moisture with the dedicated towel.

Preparing to clean by applying glass film remover to the dedicated towel

You can apply Clean View to the bathtub or glass and wipe it with the dedicated towel, but to make things easy, I first put the remover on the dedicated towel and cleaned as though wiping away moisture.

After that, I moved around the bathtub booth as I cleaned it with the dedicated towel, applying a little more glass film remover at a time. As it removed the water stains, it felt as though it was coating the surface too.

When cleaning the bathtub, I had worked repeatedly with a scrubber, but the glass film remover easily became a cleaning detergent, removing water stains and film at once.

The glass mirror that had white marks

After easily finishing the bathtub cleaning, I noticed white marks on the glass mirror. Toothpaste or foam had hardened, so it did not come off well with a water wash, and the marks came back as the moisture dried. So I dampened the glass mirror and tried cleaning it. After applying a suitable amount, I simply wiped it with the towel as though cleaning.

I worked on spots such as the bathtub and mirror booth where a lot of moisture film builds up. First I moistened the surface, then cleaned by wiping so the glass film remover spread evenly, like a white mark.

You can see the moisture gradually disappear and the glass film remover solution gradually wipe away. That is when the cleaning is done. You could finish by spraying water once, but I finished cleaning with the dedicated towel dampened with water.

I also compared mirror fogging after a shower

And when I came out after showering, comparing the side of the mirror where I had used Clean View with the side where I had not, it seemed to prevent fogging too. Why is it not fogging up? So interesting. I had cleaned easily with a glass film remover, and it felt like a two-for-one clean, even with the fogging.

Comparing mirror fogging before and after using Clean View

Seriously, one glass film remover made it easy to remove grime from the glass mirror, and then, wow, even the fogging was handled perfectly. It seems like a hot item in the cleaning world! It is fascinating that a car-wash item can be used in so many ways as a household cleaning item.

On the main bedroom shower-booth glass partition, too

The main bedroom has a shower booth, with a booth partition separating the shower from the sink and toilet. Since it is glass, hardened shampoo and body-wash foam has made it cloudy and dirty.

While the surface is still damp, apply Clean View and rub it as though wiping, 4–5 times.

Then I rinsed it with water, and the moisture immediately ran down, as though the glass had become water-repellent. The glass booth cleaned up easily, almost like it had been coated against moisture.

There was enough in one glass film remover to repeat the job about 3–4 times, not only on a car but on bathroom glass mirrors as well.
