In short
Fresh Farmer Olympic Park Foreon Direct Store is an egg shop on B1 of Park Foreon near Dunchondong Station in Gangdong, Seoul, that sells only eggs with eggshell code No. 1 and No. 2. The writer bought Fresh Farmer eggs, also sold at department stores, at this direct store and fried them at home; the whites were bouncy and nutty, with almost no fishy smell. I cook eggs at home all the time, but this time I met a slightly special egg! 🥚 It's the Fresh Farmer egg that used to be sold at department stores, and it's also known as Son Yeon-jae's egg, so I'd been curious about it!!
This time I visited the Fresh Farmer Olympic Park Foreon Direct Store! I wanted to know how it differs from ordinary eggs, so I bought some and made fried eggs at home 🍳
Fresh Farmer Olympic Park Foreon Direct Store location and opening hours
Fresh Farmer Olympic Park Foreon Direct Store is at 1360 Yangjae-daero, Gangdong-gu, Seoul, Park Foreon B1, Unit B122. It's open 24 hours with a lunch break from 12:00 to 13:00, and it runs unmanned on weekday evenings and weekends.
How to get to Fresh Farmer from Dunchondong Station
The Foreon direct store is on B1 of the Station 5 building, on the Exit 1 side of Dunchondong Station. It can be a little confusing inside the shopping complex the first time 🥹 so I recommend checking the location before you go!

Head toward Exit 1 of Dunchondong Station, then pass Olive Young and go into the Station 5 building!! Take the escalator up to B1 and turn left~

The shop is next to Misari Udon and next to Yogurt World! The inside of the complex is rather complicated, so if you can't find it, you can call the shop for directions!! They also said parking tickets can be provided, so ask if you're coming by car.
What eggs does Fresh Farmer sell? Only eggshell code No. 1 and No. 2

Fresh Farmer's biggest feature is that it handles only shell No. 1 and No. 2 eggs! The number printed on the shell is information you can use to check how the hens were raised. Fresh Farmer offers eggs from free-range and animal-welfare farming!!

I also like that they run their own farm and manage everything from production to sales~

Eggshell code No. 1 vs No. 2: how do the yolk colors differ?
In the store, shell No. 1 eggs were displayed in the first section and No. 2 eggs in the second.

Comparing them in the photos, No. 1 had a yellowish yolk and No. 2 was a bit more orange!! They say yolk color can also vary depending on what the hens are fed~

Eggs are something you eat every day, so it matters to look at where they're produced and how they're distributed, right?!? At the Fresh Farmer shop I could check the eggs' condition and even try a tasting!!

It's especially worth a look if you're searching for eggs for your child's baby food or you carefully check how your ingredients are produced!!
How do fried eggs made with Fresh Farmer eggs taste?
The fried eggs made with Fresh Farmer eggs had bouncy, nutty whites and almost no eggy smell. Of course, the first thing I made when I got them home was a fried egg!
I cracked an egg into the pan and the yolk color was so pretty that I started by taking photos!! It was fun to eat them while comparing with the eggs I usually have, haha
The biggest difference I felt was!! the bouncy texture and nutty flavor of the whites~ I could barely notice that typical eggy smell, so they were easy to eat 🤗 They'd be good with just a light sprinkle of salt, and I think they'd also go well on top of rice with soy sauce.

They'd be good for dishes you make often too, like gyeran-mari (rolled omelet), scrambled eggs and French toast, right? Being able to enjoy the taste of the egg itself without adding any special ingredients is a Good 👍🏻💚
Does Fresh Farmer offer an egg subscription?

Fresh Farmer offers subscriptions as well as in-store purchases! Eggs aren't something you eat once and be done with, they're something you keep stocked in the fridge!! If going to buy them every time is a hassle, or your family eats a lot of them, a subscription might be worth looking into~?
Also, according to the store, new stock arrives every Tuesday and Thursday after 6 p.m.! If you want to try same-day-laid eggs, check whether they've come in before you visit!

Cheaper than the department store? Fresh Farmer Foreon prices and visit tips
I was told the Fresh Farmer Foreon direct store is about ₩5,000–6,000 cheaper than the Lotte Department Store Jamsil shop!! You can find them at Lotte Jamsil too, but the Foreon direct store is said to be lower-priced thanks to differences such as labor costs. Please check each product's price and set contents before buying, haha
By the way, it runs unmanned on weekends! If you want staff guidance during your visit, I recommend going on a weekday~
Even for eggs you eat every day, checking the farming environment, freshness and taste makes for a more satisfying choice, haha After cooking and eating them myself, I liked Fresh Farmer for its bouncy whites and nutty flavor! If you often cook with eggs or have been looking for good eggs, it's worth a look~
Next time I want to try them in gyeran-mari and other egg dishes 🍳
