Anseong dinner café after Starfield: panne & risotto, Chat Baker

Visited in October 2026. Chat Baker is the big café I always stop by when I go to Starfield Anseong or Anseong Farmland! It's famous as a brunch café in Gongdo, Anseong, but you can have dinner here too. After shopping at Starfield Anseong on the weekend, I went to Chat Baker for a nice dinner.

Chat Baker is a 500-pyeong brunch and bakery café! It's easy to reach from Anseong and also from Pyeongtaek, so I recommend it if you want to relax in a big café.

At Chat Baker you can choose between nutty beans and bright, acidic beans for your coffee. I personally love the coffee here. I like acidic beans, so even when I come for dinner I end up ordering coffee, haha.

Besides the fragrant coffee, there are ades, smoothies, teas and more, so you can enjoy a relaxed time whoever you come with.

With salads, gnocchi, pasta, risotto and more, there's something new to try every time you visit. If you order a brunch item, your drink is discounted, which makes it nice to pair them.

As a proper bakery café, Chat Baker has many kinds of bread, and I hear they bake in the shop every day. They say the dough has no artificial additives and they use only 100% milk butter, so the bread sits comfortably in your stomach afterwards.

Chat Baker 1st- and 2nd-floor seating and atmosphere

Chat Baker is a spacious café, so wherever you sit you get a sense of space. The seats in front of the big windows on the 1st floor are especially popular. You can sit there with a coffee and zone out, or chat away with whoever you came with.

The 2nd floor also has high ceilings and a wide, open feel. It feels like a garden, and it's great for sitting around together and chatting.

What did we order for dinner at Chat Baker?

For dinner this time I ordered the tomato seafood panne pasta, the chicken chili risotto, and an Americano (with champagne beans). Coffee and bakery are great here, but I prefer brunch, dinner and then coffee. Haha.

Considering the café atmosphere and how good the pasta and risotto are, the prices feel reasonable. That's why I keep coming back.

Tomato seafood panne pasta

The tomato seafood panne pasta at Chat Baker is packed with seafood like squid, shrimp and mussels. The noodles were cooked really well, and the spiciness was appealing.

The spicy tomato sauce with a faint hint of butter went wonderfully with the springy noodles.

Chicken chili risotto

The chicken chili risotto at Chat Baker comes topped with big pieces of chicken. My partner doesn't really like risotto, but likes the one here. It's just that good, haha.

The doneness of the rice and the sauce blended beautifully, and it was a joy to eat. The tomato and green beans served alongside added a variety of textures, which was fun.

Dessert Americano (champagne beans)

And for dessert, the champagne-bean Americano! The coffee at Chat Baker is really fantastic. That's why I always end up having one even at dinner, haha. Even the closing coffee was excellent.
