Where is Downtown Daegu Believe Heritage, and where can you park?

Downtown Daegu Believe Heritage is a new handmade burger shop in Daegu Believe Heritage in Suseong-dong, Suseong-gu, Daegu. The road in front of the shop is a no-stopping zone, but if you use the nearby Doyu Suseong parking lot, they give you 1 hour of free parking.

A brand-new handmade burger place has opened in Daegu! Downtown, right in Suseong-dong, inside Daegu Believe Heritage. I heard this is the first Downtown burger shop in the Gyeongsang region. This neighborhood is where we used to come for Sincheon tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), and now there's this pretty, foreign-looking burger place. And it runs together with Crab Pizza?

I parked in the side alleys nearby, but since the road in front of the shop is a no-stopping zone, they say you get 1 hour of free parking at the nearby Doyu Suseong parking lot.

How do you order at Downtown Daegu Believe Heritage?

You order at the kiosk and pick up the vibrating pagers one by one, from the top down. You can also order from staff at the front counter.

Dining room and seating at Downtown in Suseong-dong

The shop is spacious, clean and bright. There is a big central table that works for groups, and there is also tiered seating.

But wow!! Inside it was this spacious, clean, bright and pretty. The big table in the middle would be fine even for a group. There's even a quirky tiered seating area. The exterior was great, but the interior is even better.

Which burgers did we order at Downtown?

At Downtown Daegu Believe Heritage, we ordered three burgers: the Downtown Burger, the Classic Cheese Burger and the Bulgogi Smash Burger. Grab a seat first, check the menu at the kiosk, then order right away.

There are lots of options, so just pick what suits you. I want to try everything, haha, but we ordered the Downtown Burger, the Classic Cheese Burger and the Bulgogi Smash Burger.

While sitting and waiting I looked at the posters, and wow, what's that?! Next time I have to try the Cream Cheese Chicken Burger too, haha. So much to try next time. The Avocado Burger, the Shrimp Deluxe Burger...

What's in the Downtown Burger?

The Downtown Burger has a beef patty, American cheese, grilled onion, romaine, tomato and a sweet-and-spicy house sauce, plus bacon. It had three slices of tomato, so it was really generous.

First, the Downtown Burger. It has the same name as the shop, so I figured it must be the signature and ordered it.

It's the base burger of the Downtown Burger line: a beef patty with American cheese, grilled onion, romaine, tomato, Downtown's own sweet-and-spicy house sauce, and bacon added. The beef patty was grilled really well, and the bacon was just slightly crispy. And with three slices of tomato inside, it was an incredibly generous handmade burger!

Classic Cheese Burger vs Downtown Burger: what's the difference?

The Classic Cheese Burger is built the same as the Downtown Burger, just without the bacon. Of the three burgers, it was the writer's personal favorite.

And this Classic Cheese Burger is the same as the Downtown Burger, except there's no bacon. Beef patty, American cheese, romaine, tomato, house sauce. Apart from the missing bacon it's identical, so this one was super delicious too.

Rich beef patty flavor and rich cheese flavor~~ totally great! And the house sauce keeps the bun nice and moist, so it was seriously, really delicious.

What does the Bulgogi Smash Burger taste like?

The Bulgogi Smash Burger seemed to use a (pork) bulgogi patty instead of beef, with grilled onion, romaine and a classic bulgogi mayo sauce, so it tasted completely different from the other two. The writer ordered it for her son.

I ordered this Bulgogi Smash Burger for my son, and the biggest difference is the patty. It didn't seem to have a beef patty, just a (pork) bulgogi patty. Plus grilled onion, romaine and a classic bulgogi mayo sauce. So it tasted totally different! If you prefer pork flavor, this one is better; if you like beef patties, I recommend the Downtown or the Classic Cheese.

All three were super delicious, but my personal taste is the Classic Cheese^^

Are Downtown's thick fries really crispy?

The fries at Downtown Daegu Believe Heritage are thick-cut but very crispy outside and moist inside. The writer called them "seriously amazing."

And the fries here were seriously amazing. Even though they're thick-cut potatoes, they were super crispy! But it's not the kind that's tough all the way through; they were moist inside and totally crispy outside, really delicious fries.

Is Downtown Daegu Believe Heritage worth a return visit?

Even though these are handmade burgers, they came out quickly after ordering, and the thick burgers were wrapped so neatly that they could be eaten cleanly without spilling. The writer said the shop has more space, is cleaner and friendlier than existing handmade burger places, and plans to come back for the Crab Pizza next time.

Even though they're handmade burgers, they came out fast after ordering, and the freshly made burgers, despite being thick, were wrapped one by one so they were easy to eat and I didn't spill a thing. As a best burger spot in Suseong, Daegu, this place has more space, is cleaner, prettier and friendlier than the older handmade burger shops, and the burgers are tasty too, so time to update the info, right? Next time I'll come for the Crab Pizza as well.
