How did it feel when removing full makeup?
I usually wear only tone-up sunscreen, but I put on full makeup when I have plans. Removing it in several steps takes a long time, and my skin can sometimes feel red or dry afterward, so I tried a cleansing balm.
At first, it had a firm black sherbet-balm texture, but it melted like an oil once I applied it to my face. It did not feel very resistant as I massaged it in, and I noticed a subtle, refreshing scent.
How did I use it?
- After drying my hands and face, I scooped out an appropriate amount and spread it over my skin.
- I gently massaged around my nose and across my T-zone for about 30 seconds.
- I also lightly massaged areas with eyeliner, mascara, and lip makeup.
- I added lukewarm water to emulsify the formula, then rinsed with water.
How did it handle point makeup and feel after cleansing?
I tried removing waterproof mascara and pearly eye shadow without using a separate remover. In my case, they melted away without eye stinging or blurred vision, and after emulsifying and rinsing, even my heavily applied base makeup was cleared away.
Even after patting away water with a towel, I did not notice redness or a tight, constricting feeling. The sebum buildup I could feel beside my nostrils seemed tidied up, leaving my skin texture feeling smooth, and there was little feeling of a heavy oil film remaining.
What should you keep in mind when using it?
Because it is a black charcoal formula, black droplets could splash around the sink while rinsing. They washed away easily with water, but I rinsed the sink once after cleansing. To prevent water from getting into the product from bathroom humidity, I planned to close the lid after use and store it in a dry place.
When did I reach for it?
It was convenient on evenings when a multi-step cleansing routine felt cumbersome, especially on days when I wore full makeup. It suited my routine of usually wearing mostly sunscreen and putting on heavier makeup when I have plans.
