Sundaeguk broth and fillings

Let's start with how the sundaeguk looks!

A bowl of sundaeguk topped with perilla powder, scallions and chives

See that broth? Not too clear, not too heavy, just the right thickness. Topped with perilla powder, scallions and chives, it looks hearty just sitting there.

There's plenty of sundae, offal and head meat, so as you dig through the fillings you're suddenly full~ The broth is clean with no gamey smell, and the seasoning was just right even without pepper or seasoned chili paste (dadaegi). It's bewitchingly good, you'll finish the broth first!

The chewy sundae and nutty head meat that come with the set are plated nicely on one dish~ With chives and sesame seeds on top, the presentation is perfect too! Pick up a piece, dip it in salted shrimp (saeujeot), and... mmm, pure happiness in your mouth.

At Yeonnal Gyeongseong Suji-gu Office Station Branch, you can refill all the basic sides at the self-serve bar: kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), kimchi, onions, ssamjang (dipping paste), salted shrimp and more! The kkakdugi was totally my style! Sweet and refreshing. It's the best with gukbap (rice soup). I couldn't not refill it~
