When driving my The New Carnival on rainy or snowy days, the windshield made my view feel frustratingly blocked. Changing the wipers did not improve it, so I tried maintaining the glass myself with AutoGrooming Clean View Oil Film Remover.

What was still inconvenient after replacing the wipers?
Whenever I turned on the wipers in rain or snow, they made a scraping sound. At first, I thought the wiper arms or rubber blades were the problem, but replacing them with new wipers did not help. More inconvenient than the noise was how blurry my view became.

Even after the wipers passed over it, the water would not wipe away; it spread thinly across the glass and turned the view in front of me hazy. At night, oncoming headlights and streetlights looked severely smeared, and there were some frightening moments when I almost had an accident.

Even after cleaning the glass at a car wash, it quickly turned hazy again. I thought it was an oil film rather than simple dirt, so I decided to try an oil-film remover.
How was Clean View's towel-included set?
I had put off oil-film removal because I thought it would take a long time and a lot of scrubbing. I chose Clean View because the instructions looked simple, and I liked that it came with a work towel.

Even when I have car-wash towels, sometimes there are not enough, and I felt uneasy about getting oil-film remover on a household towel and using it again after washing. With the included towel, I did not need to take out a household towel or prepare a separate sponge.

How did I treat the Carnival's front windshield?
I was worried the Carnival's large front windshield would be difficult to work on. Once I actually did it, though, it felt like it took less than 10 minutes.

- I first gave it a light water wash to remove dust from the glass.
- With a little water still left on the glass, I applied the solution evenly. In my experience, it spread more easily this way.
- I rubbed it about five times with the included towel. I did not use much force.
- Finally, I rinsed it with water to finish.

Did the wiper noise and glare change after use?
The finished glass looked clearer and more transparent than before. It also felt smooth to the touch, without stickiness or any foreign residue. I later noticed the difference while driving when it actually rained.

In my car, the wipers moved smoothly without that scraping sound. Rather than spreading into a thin film, the water beaded up and flew away, and the view felt cleaner too. At night, the glare that had bothered me before felt gone, which reduced eye fatigue and made driving much more comfortable.

Did I also try it for bathroom glass cleaning?
Beyond car glass, I also tried it on the bathroom shower booth and mirror. The glass looked shiny after cleaning, and my wife liked the result too. For me, this was a product that let me maintain a large car windshield myself with the included towel, while also putting it to use for bathroom cleaning.
