What is Raymond Isu Branch?
Raymond Isu Branch is a place near Isu Station where you can enjoy American-style slice pizza together with award-winning craft beer. I wanted pizza and beer with friends, so I went looking for a pizza-and-beer spot in Isu and came across Raymond Isu Branch ★ The exterior was so pretty it caught my eye from far away!
The combination of vintage red and white brick, plus the simple logo, made it feel like standing in front of a pub abroad ღ
Getting there from Isu Station and parking
Raymond Isu Branch is closest to Exit 9 of Isu Station, but when I went, Exit 9 was under construction 🚧 So I came out of Exit 10 and walked instead — it only took about 3 minutes, so it wasn't hard to find at all haha. There's no separate parking space at the store though, so I'd recommend public transit over driving 🚗
The vibe inside and the group seating
Overall it has a casual yet exotic vibe, and once inside I was a bit surprised at how spacious it was!! Plenty of tables, and there's a separate group seating area in the back, so it'd work well as a spot for a gathering too 👥
And the restroom is inside the store :)
Menu lineup and limited pizza sales
Since Raymond specializes in American-style pizza and craft beer, it's a great pick for a pizza-and-beer course in Isu~! There are set menus and you can also order by the slice, so you can pick and choose different flavors 🙌 They also have a variety of sides like pasta, chicken, and tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), which go great alongside.
For reference, to keep ingredients fresh, they only sell 20 pizzas on weekdays and 30 on weekends (°o°) If you're planning a late visit, keep this in mind ⏰
By the kitchen, the pizzas are on display, so you can see the real thing before ordering 😉
Near there's also a self-service corner with water, hot sauce, and utensils ❗

Comparing the four pizza slice flavors
The pizza comes in four flavors: cheese, pepperoni, bacon hawaiian, and mac & cheese! First off, the size — ㅎㄷㄷ each slice was way bigger than I expected, so even just 4 slices was quite a lot *0*
The cheese pizza is savory and stays true to the basics 🧀 The pepperoni was salty and paired really well with beer (*´ڡ`*) The bacon hawaiian had that sweet-and-salty combo of sweet pineapple and salty bacon, which was my personal favorite 😋 The mac & cheese had macaroni on top, so it was thick and filling — even just one slice was satisfying.
The pizza comes with cheese sauce and garlic sauce, and both are genuinely so good ♥ㅅ♥ The crust edge is easy to leave behind, but dipping it in the sauce meant I ended up eating it all the way through lol
Boneless fried chicken and truffle fries
The Mond Set comes with boneless fried chicken, while the other set, the Ray Set, comes with sausage instead of chicken~ I'm a chicken person, so I went with the Mond Set without hesitation *^_^*
By the way, the boneless fried chicken seems to be made from chicken thigh meat?! No dryness at all, moist inside — even better dipped in the sauce~~
The fries have a strong truffle aroma — the kind of flavor you keep reaching for one at a time in between bites of pizza (๑❛ᴗ❛๑)
Three craft beers — which one was the best?
We ordered three beers: Vienna Lager, Belgian-Style Wit Beer, and Blueberry Sour Ale 🍺🍺🍺 Raymond's beer is apparently made by Art Monster, a world-class craft beer brand that's won international competitions. There's a good variety, so you should definitely order beer alongside your pizza!! Of the three, the Vienna Lager I ordered was most my style 💗
