Today I'm writing up my visit to Beurre Beurre Konkuk University Rodeo Branch, a great spot for something sweet near Konkuk University Station haha. It's right on the Konkuk Rodeo street so it's easy to get to, and it's nice for a light ice cream stop after a meal. If you're looking for Konkuk ice cream or a sweet dessert spot, this might be helpful 🍦

Where is Beurre Beurre Konkuk University Rodeo Branch?
Beurre Beurre Konkuk University Rodeo Branch is close to Exit 6 of Konkuk University Station, so it was easy to find. Coming in from the main street, the red and blue colors really caught my eye, so finding the shop wasn't hard at all haha.

The exterior colors were genuinely so cute. The red-and-blue combo gives off an American dessert shop vibe, so it stands out from a distance and is great for photos ✨ There were small chairs near the entrance too, so it looked like a nice spot to sit for a bit — overall a cheerful atmosphere.

16 butter flavors at Beurre Beurre: how to choose
Beurre Beurre had a wide variety of ice cream flavors ready to go. According to the signage, there are 16 butter flavors, made with French butter at 82% milk fat. The menu names weren't your average flavor names either — things like mint choco prince, Joseon rice, and walnut caramel — so there was a lot of fun in the picking haha.

Ordering was done via kiosk. Even for a first visit it wasn't hard, since you can just take your time going through the screen, and there was also a sample tasting service noted, which could be handy if you're torn between flavors. The inside wasn't so much a spacious café for lingering as it was a spot to pick your ice cream and eat it quickly or take it to go.

Ordering the Joseon rice and walnut caramel double cup and a mint choco prince single
I picked Joseon rice and walnut caramel for my double cup, and ordered mint choco prince as a single. The double cup is great for when you can't decide, since you get to try two flavors together haha. The portion in one cup was more generous than I expected, making it just right for dessert 🍨

The showcase had rows of ice cream lined up, and there was a drink menu visible off to the side too, so you could pick drinks along with the ice cream. I mostly focused on ice cream that day, but if you like the combo of sweet dessert and coffee, it might be worth checking out the drinks as well.

What does mint choco prince taste like?
First up, mint choco prince! Mint choco fans will be pretty happy with this one. With a name like mint choco prince I had expectations, and sure enough the mint flavor was seriously strong lol. Not a subtle mint — this is the style with a clearly cool, sharp mint aroma, so mint choco lovers will probably love it while beginners might find it a bit intense. There were bits of chocolate mixed in too, so it wasn't just mint jumping out — the sweetness came along with it, which was nice 💚

What does Joseon rice taste like?
Joseon rice was personally my favorite of the three. Just from the name I was a little curious, but once I actually tried it, the nutty, soft feel was really nice. It wasn't overly sweet in a punchy way — there was a slight plainness typical of rice desserts, which suited my taste well haha. If you prefer nutty flavors over heavy, sweet ice cream, Joseon rice would probably be a good pick.

One-bite tasting service and cup prices at Beurre Beurre
On the wall there were signs for cookies, an Americano promotion, and the sample tasting service. The sample tasting service in particular seemed like it could be handy when you're torn between flavors. Next time I visit, I'd like to try a small taste of new flavors first before choosing.

Cup sizes were divided into single, double, triple, and quadruple. The single cup I had came with 1 flavor, and the double cup let me choose 2 flavors. Per the signage, single was ₩4,700 and double was ₩6,500.

What does walnut caramel taste like?
Walnut caramel was exactly as sweet as the name suggests. The nutty walnut flavor comes with the sweetness of caramel, giving it a real dessert feel 😋 It's on the sweeter side, so it would pair well with an Americano, and it should suit anyone who likes a sweet ice cream. I tried all three flavors and they were all good overall — Joseon rice was my favorite. Mint choco prince has a definite mint punch, so I'd recommend it to mint choco fans, and walnut caramel is a solid pick for anyone who likes sweet flavors haha.

If you're near Konkuk University Station looking for dessert after a meal, or want a light dessert shop to stop by on the Konkuk Rodeo street, Beurre Beurre Konkuk University Rodeo Branch is worth checking out.
