Seocho pie café with not-too-sweet apple and pecan pies: Saison de Pie
In short
Saison de Pie (쎄종드파이) is a handmade pie and baked-goods dessert café on a side street in Seocho-dong, Seoul, a 5-minute walk from Seocho Station. On a hot afternoon the writer had an iced americano (₩3,800) and took home three pies in cold packing: apple (₩8,800), cherry pistachio (₩9,500) and pecan (₩7,800), all packed with real ingredients, not too sweet and a good match for americano. Saison de Pie suits anyone near Seocho Station looking for less-sweet handmade pies or baked goods to give as gifts.

What are the seats and atmosphere like at Saison de Pie?
The café has cozy wood interiors with mostly tables for two, plus a bar table and outdoor terrace seats 😊 It has a warm feel, so it's a nice place to rest for a bit.

With the bar table, it's easy to just sit and enjoy coffee and pie 💕🫶 It's cute yet cozy, and I loved it. The moment I walked in, the smell of butter and nutty pie hit me, and I got so excited ❗️❗️

The outdoor terrace has a great mood too, and there's room even if you come with 4 or more 💕

Drinks at Saison de Pie run from an americano at ₩3,800 to signature drinks at ₩6,000. They say the non-coffee drinks are made by hand and made healthy.

It was a hot day, so I had a nice cold iced americano. They say the lattes are especially nutty and good because they use fresh grade 1A Maeil milk. Next time I'll try a latte ☕️
Saison de Pie baked goods and cookies as gifts

Saison de Pie is a handmade pie hotspot, but it also has plenty of baked goods and cookies, so it's a good place near Seocho Station to pick up gifts ❗️ The vibe is adorable 💕 The crunch pecan, baked rather than fried, is ₩13,000, and the apple pecan is ₩15,000.

The Earl Grey tea cookie is ₩9,500. Reading the description, they use only good ingredients 🫶 Lots of organic ones too, very much a premium handmade-treat shop.
The coconut choco chip cookie (₩9,500) looked crunchy and caught my eye too,, 💕

This would really make a great gift. Granola choco is ₩18,500. The owner's principle is making everything by hand with good ingredients, so it's a dessert spot that's great for gifts to friends and family 💕

I want someone to give me the honey cookie set,, 💓 It's so cute haha. The Saison de Pie cookies come in assorted flavors, so I think anyone would love it as a gift 👏 They say these are premium handmade cookies with less sugar, flavored with honey and almonds. (7 kinds ₩19,500, 3 kinds ₩12,000)
What pies does Saison de Pie have, and what do they cost?

I visited in the afternoon, and since it's such a popular handmade pie shop, the pies were selling out in real time ❗️❗️ I got antsy,, 🫠 The Engadiner pie is made with pâte sablée (a traditional French pastry), caramel, honey, walnuts and more, and you could tell at a glance it was packed with real ingredients.

Mont Blanc, ₩9,500. A pie with chestnuts simmered in-house, custard cream and chestnut paste, and one of Saison de Pie's signature pies. I couldn't decide whether to get the Mont Blanc 🤎
Aurora Pie, ₩9,300. It has caramel, Korean peanuts, malto salt, vanilla cream and white chocolate cream loaded with vanilla bean. Aurora was a candidate too, but it sold fast 🥹

Apple pie, ₩8,800 🍎 It's the Saison de Pie signature pie, a crisp pie full of good-quality apples. I picked one apple pie ✔️✔️

Cherry pistachio pie, ₩9,500. It has almond cream, griotte cherries, cherries, pistachios and pistachio cream. I don't actually like pistachio much, but the cherries looked so good that I picked it ✔️✔️ Spoiler: it was really delicious...💚

There's a wide range of premium handmade pies, like pecan pie, Lululemon pie and blueberry pie, so it's great for picking a few and sharing 💕💕
- Pecan pie ₩7,800
- Orion Pie ₩9,500: salted caramel, hazelnut, malto salt, chocolate ganache and milk chocolate (another one I agonized over 😉)
And I had a cold iced americano too haha ☕️
Is Saison de Pie takeout okay in summer?
I took away the pistachio cherry pie, apple pie and pecan pie, and in case they'd melt in the summer heat, they even included an ice pack 💕 See how packed with real ingredients they are? All of these pies are made entirely in-house,, 💕 So excited 💕

I carried them home, and thanks to the careful packing the pies were perfectly intact ❗️❗️ Saison de Pie is also a good choice when you're going to a housewarming or need a gift.
How did the apple, cherry pistachio and pecan pies taste?
The cherry pistachio pie at Saison de Pie was full of soft pistachio cream and I really enjoyed it. Fresh cherries make it so good,, 🍒

The apple pie was crisp and full of apples too 🍎
The walnuts were packed in as well. I've never had a walnut pie this loaded with real ingredients, haha!

The pie crust at Saison de Pie is full of flavor and delicious too, nutty layer after layer. And the pies aren't too sweet, so I kept reaching for more ❓ "A dessert that's not too sweet and tasty" is the highest praise, right 💕 It goes so well with an americano. The pistachio and cherry ingredients are high quality too ❗️

Loads of crisp apples with a cinnamon aroma. Next time I go, the apple pie is a must ❗️

The walnut pie was rich and nutty with a great texture, and I enjoyed it so much ❗️❗️

Saison de Pie also has gift boxes, so I recommend it if you're looking for a dessert gift near Seocho Station. If you're after handmade pie near Seocho Station, baked goods in Seocho-dong or a dessert café in Seocho-dong, I recommend the premium handmade pie shop Saison de Pie 🫶
