1++ hanwoo tenderloin at a Yuseong butcher restaurant: Worang Myeongga
In short
Worang Myeongga Daejeon Yuseong Main Branch is a hanwoo butcher restaurant a short walk from Exit 8 of Yuseong Oncheon Station in Daejeon. Diners inspect the beef before ordering, and the tenderloin here comes from 30–40 month 1++ grade cow hanwoo; grilled thick, it stayed tender with a clean, gentle beef aroma. Worang Myeongga suits anyone who wants the natural taste of hanwoo rather than heavy marinade.

Hello, I'm a travel influencer. I had a schedule in Yuseong, Daejeon, and wanted a proper hanwoo (Korean beef) meal, so I went looking for a good spot.
Today I'm introducing Worang Myeongga Daejeon Yuseong Main Branch, close to Exit 8 of Yuseong Oncheon Station. They handle 30–40 month 1++ grade cow hanwoo and butcher it in-house, so since I love a tender texture, I ordered the tenderloin (anshim) out of all the available cuts.
How was the tenderloin? Let me walk you through everything from the atmosphere to the side dishes and self-bar. Shall we get into it? ^^
Where is Worang Myeongga Daejeon Yuseong Main Branch, and is there parking?

Worang Myeongga Daejeon Yuseong Main Branch is a short walk from Exit 8 of Yuseong Oncheon Station, so it was convenient by public transit. And parking, which is always a bit of a worry at BBQ restaurants in busy areas, is no issue here since they have dedicated parking, making it fine to drive too.

Since this is a butcher-style restaurant, you can inspect the meat yourself before ordering.

Inside, the space felt clean and calm overall, with regular tables as well as private rooms for a more intimate meal.

It'd be great for a casual hanwoo meal, but also fits nicely for a slightly more formal occasion like a meal with parents, a family gathering, or a work dinner.
What's on the menu at Worang Myeongga

The menu offers a wide range of hanwoo cuts to choose from. I usually prefer a clean, tender texture over fattier cuts, so I inspected and chose the tenderloin myself.

There's also a wide selection of sides and various alcoholic drinks, so you can pick according to your taste.
The side dishes that come with the beef

Once you order your meat, the side dishes come out on the table one by one. The lineup felt clean overall, good for pairing between bites without overpowering the hanwoo's own flavor.

You know how beef can get a bit rich after a while, no matter how tasty it is? Alternating with the side dishes helped reset the palate. It felt less like they just piled on lots of banchan (side dishes) and more like they focused on a lineup that pairs well with hanwoo specifically.
How the 1++ hanwoo tenderloin tasted

And finally, the tenderloin! Looking at the meat, the vivid color caught my eye first, along with a good thickness that already had me excited before it even hit the grill.

I put it on the grill, seared the surface until it looked appetizing, then cooked it further to my liking.

Personally, what I liked most was the tender texture.

Paired with the various vegetables, the tenderloin's distinct clean flavor came through first, followed by a subtle beefy aroma and juiciness as I chewed. Rather than a strong fatty richness up front, it leaned more toward a clean flavor that let the beef's own character shine.

Despite its thickness, it was barely chewy at all — soft and easy to bite through, and I got why people specifically seek out the tenderloin. Among the restaurants near Yuseong Oncheon Station, this is a dish worth trying if you'd rather enjoy hanwoo's natural flavor than heavily seasoned beef.
The side dish and fruit self-bar

If you run low on any side dish during the meal, you can use the self-bar. Being able to grab what you need without calling a staff member over was more convenient than I expected.

I love oranges, so I just kept grabbing more oranges. ^^
Why I'd go back to Worang Myeongga in Yuseong

Visiting in person, this place stuck with me not just as somewhere selling pricey hanwoo, but as somewhere with a good overall balance of meat quality, space, and accessibility.
The tenderloin I had stood out for its clean flavor and tender texture, and with private rooms and dedicated parking, it also looked like a great spot for group gatherings. Next time, I'd like to order the tenderloin again and also try other cuts alongside it for comparison.
