Jumbo jjajangmyeon at a Yeoksam Chinese restaurant: Jjamppong Jijon
Jjamppong Jijon Yeoksam Branch is a large Chinese restaurant on the second floor of a building on Teheran-ro 10-gil in Gangnam, Seoul. Two of us ordered jumbo jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles), jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) and sweet and sour pork in glutinous rice batter: the jjajang was sweet and smooth enough that even the jumbo portion never felt heavy, while the jjamppong broth was rich and clean with plenty of clams. Drinks, side dishes, rice and after-meal coffee and tea are all free, so dessert is covered in the same visit.
