Pasta Course near Magok Station: an after-work date night
Pasta Course (파스타코스) is a restaurant near Magok Station that serves pasta and tacos together. I went yesterday after work with my husband for a Magok dinner date. I'm so happy that so many tasty restaurants keep opening in Magok, haha. It was a day my husband skipped the gym, so we met up at Magok Station after work and tried this place!

My office is near Magok Station, so I went straight to Pasta Course after work. I arrived a bit before our meeting time, so I decided to order while I waited.

What's the atmosphere like at Pasta Course?
The restaurant isn't big, but it has a hip interior and a bright, pleasant feel. Walking in, the very trendy decor stood out right away. If you like today's aesthetic, you'll probably love it, and the bright, comfortable space lifted my mood the moment I stepped in! I think it suits a date or a get-together with friends too. The place isn't huge, but the interior was just so good, haha.

On one side there's a corner where you can pour your own water, which was handy. It felt like they cared about even small details, and the whole place was kept neat and clean, so I felt at ease throughout the meal.

How to order at Pasta Course: the kiosk
You order at a kiosk on one side of the restaurant, which made it easy :-) While I waited, I browsed the menu slowly, and the wall menu is laid out clearly, so it's easy to decide beforehand. Once you've picked, you just order at the kiosk. It isn't complicated, and I think first-timers will manage fine! Ordering was quick, so I had time to look around the place while waiting for my husband~!

We ordered tacos, and when the food came out, the staff brought disposable gloves too. Tacos are finger food, so I thought that was a thoughtful touch. It may be minor, but small services like this stick in your memory.
The tableware matched the restaurant's vibe too! The forks and knives were neatly set out, and the plates suited the hip interior, so the food looked even better when it arrived. The plating came out pretty in photos, which I loved!

Free pickles and jalapeños at Pasta Course
The basic side dishes at Pasta Course are pickles and jalapeños. I love pickles, so I tried them first, and it was a little disappointing that they aren't homemade. The taste was fine though, and best of all, jalapeños came with them.
The food can get a bit heavy, but having jalapeños in between kept it fresh. The pickles weren't too sweet and went well with the dishes, but personally I reached for the jalapeños more often.

How is the seasoned meat rosé risotto at Pasta Course?
The seasoned meat rose risotto is closer to nicely seasoned rice than a thick, creamy risotto. It came out first, along with a dinner roll, which was nice to pair with it, and the portion was just right, better than I expected.
So if you're expecting that thick, sticky risotto texture, it may feel a bit different, but I found it easy to eat.😊 The rose sauce wasn't too strong or heavy, and the seasoning blended well, so you keep going back for another bite. The dinner roll was perfect for dipping in the sauce, so you can finish every last bit!

How was the signature seasoned shrimp oil pasta?
I ordered the seasoned shrimp oil pasta because it's Pasta Course's signature, and it's a different style from the usual oil pasta. At a restaurant I'm visiting for the first time, I like to try the signature dish. Since it's the flagship, it's less likely to let you down, so I almost always order one.
This oil pasta was a bit different from the basic oil pasta I usually imagine. The flavor was new to me, so it felt slightly unfamiliar at first, but after a few bites it had a charm of its own. It wasn't overpowering and was well seasoned, so I finished it happily.
This dish also comes with a dinner roll, and dipping it in the sauce between bites of pasta was a nice combination. Considering my husband's big appetite, I was quietly pleased they include the roll, haha.

My husband, eating so hard, lol

I was about to take a photo when my husband said, "You have to shoot it like this to make it look good," and twirled the pasta up for me. Thanks to him, I got a much more appetizing photo~ He's secretly serious about photos, and these little moments are so cute, lol.

Chipotle chicken tacos at Pasta Course: portion and taste
The chipotle chicken tacos were generously filled with chicken and filling for the price, but the taste wasn't especially memorable. They came out last, and we ordered them because my husband really wanted to try them. We both usually love tacos, so our expectations were high.
When they arrived, they were packed with chicken. At first the portion looked small, but once I ate, it was quite filling. I think a woman eating alone could have a full meal with just 2 pieces. Considering the price, the value is really good.
Overall the taste was satisfying, but I've been to so many great taco specialists lately that it wasn't truly impressive. Compared with the famous taco places there was something a little lacking, but thinking about the price and portion together, it was a menu item you can enjoy happily.

Is Pasta Course near Magok Station worth a return visit?
Pasta Course gives high satisfaction for the price, making it a good Magok Station spot for a casual meal out after work. We cleaned our plates completely. The portions are decent and the menu is varied, so it felt like a good-value meal.
It seems especially good for days when you don't feel like cooking after work or just want an easy meal out. We ordered beer too, and the food went well with it, so it works for a quick drink as well.
Pasta Course is also reportedly dog-friendly. It could be a good option if you're looking for somewhere to eat with your pet.
If you're looking for a restaurant near Magok Station with a nice atmosphere and good value, I think you'd be happy with a visit. We'd like to try other dishes next time too. Mostly tacos, haha.
