Gangdong Korean restaurant with hotel-entrance parking: Boseung
In short
Boseung Hoegwan Cheonho Station Branch is a 24-hour gukbap (Korean soup with rice) restaurant in Gangdong, Seoul, right in front of Cheonho Station and a bus stop near Hyundai Department Store Cheonho. The parking entrance sits in the middle of the building and looks like a hotel entrance, so it takes a lap to find, but the dining room is roomy; one spicy pork jowl gukbap at 14,000 won and one solo special pork jowl gukbap at 18,000 won cover both the spicy and the plain nutty broth. Even the plain bowl comes packed with pork jowl, so for two people the single bowl plus special combination is exactly the right amount.

Boseung Hoegwan Cheonho Station Branch

I was craving hot gukbap for once, so my boyfriend and I went to Boseung Hoegwan Cheonho Station Branch 🧡

Where is Boseung Hoegwan Cheonho Station Branch, and where is the parking entrance?
This place is near Hyundai Department Store Cheonho, and it's also close to Cheonho Station with a bus stop right out front, so the access is really good 〰️

We drove that day 🚘 and yes, parking is available!! But you really have to find the entrance right!! It's not on the side or the back of the building — the parking entrance is in the middle of the building (the hotel-looking entrance you see in the photo is actually the parking entrance).

We didn't know that, so we drove right past it and ended up circling the whole building before getting in. We were pretty flustered, but once inside there was a nice wide parking area, which was great.
The inside of Boseung Hoegwan Cheonho Station Branch is so clean and spacious, but as we ate, I noticed all these wide seats filling up ??!!! It was my first time here and it was already a popular spot...

Menu prices: spicy pork jowl gukbap ₩14,000, solo special ₩18,000
What we ordered at Boseung Hoegwan Cheonho Station Branch was the spicy pork jowl gukbap ₩14,000, and the solo special pork jowl gukbap ₩18,000. There's a plain white broth version and a spicy red broth version! And the solo special lets you try the gukbap along with sundae (Korean blood sausage) and head meat suyuk (boiled pork slices) all in one set — such a great combo!!!
That's probably why I saw a lot of people eating alone with the solo special menu.

They're running a review event where you get a free bottled drink, so leave a review and grab your drink.

The side dishes: kimchi worth a second helping
The basic side dishes came out like this, and this place is really good at kimchi! Especially that geotjeori (fresh cabbage kimchi) — the garlic smell was strong, and it was totally my type.

Everything came out faster than expected, and the stone bowl was fully bubbling 🔥 — just looking at it made my mouth water ㅠ

How does the spicy pork jowl gukbap taste?
Honestly, there was so much pork jowl in there. I stirred it with my spoon and it felt really heavy... the meat basically filled the whole stone bowl. And it was all pork jowl 💛💛💛

The spicy pork jowl gukbap had this spicy, sharp kick that hits your throat 🔥🔥🔥! If you like spicy food, you have to pick this one.
I got tired of fishing out pieces of pork jowl, so I just mixed in the rice 〰️ there was so much meat in there that I was totally satisfied haha. And taking a bite with that strong-garlic kimchi — yeah, Koreans really do live on gukbap...
What comes with the solo special pork jowl gukbap
This one is what my boyfriend ordered, the solo special pork jowl gukbap!! It comes with perilla seed powder mixed in as standard, which made it nice and nutty. This is what the solo special pork jowl gukbap looks like. Just looking at it, it's such a filling spread haha, you can really have a proper meal with this...

There are three kinds of sundae and head meat suyuk, and they were so chewy and delicious! Ssamjang (dipping sauce) doesn't come standard, so we asked for it separately. Just the gukbap alone would feel a bit lacking, but this combo is truly the best.
Load it up with chives! This is the basic pork jowl gukbap — no spicy kick, but it's clean and nutty, so the basic version is delicious too. You can just pick whichever suits your taste.

What to order at Boseung Hoegwan when there are two of you
We went as a pair and ordered one plain gukbap and one solo special, and the portion was just right!!! We got to try both the spicy one and the plain (nutty) one, which was great... And even without the special, the plain gukbap alone comes packed with pork jowl, so it's plenty filling on its own! You can definitely fill up just on that.

Just looking at it makes you feel full and satisfied — a real K-table spread. Cheonho Station's gukbap gem, Boseung Hoegwan Cheonho Station Branch ⭐️

Full but still finishing it all... ⭐️ With 24-hour hours that are rare these days and food you can trust, plus parking available, definitely stop by Boseung Hoegwan Cheonho Station Branch if you're in the area.
