Picnic List Mangwon checked all three boxes I wanted — everything for a Mangwon Han River Park picnic in one place, good reviews, and close to the river. If you ask me what I most want to do once fall hits, it's a Han River picnic 💚 I usually go to Yeouido or Banpo, but this time I headed to Mangwon Han River Park! As always, I scouted out picnic rental shops and landed on Picnic List Mangwon!

Spoiler: I napped in a tent, played board games, haha, and basically got every bit of value out of the day 💚 For anyone who wants to rent everything from a tent to games for Mangwon Han River Park in one go, let me walk you through how it works and the set I picked!

Picnic List Mangwon: location, hours, parking, prices

Picnic List Mangwon is at 1 Mangwon-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul, open year-round, no parking. I booked the 3COMBO SET for ₩10,000 (plus ₩10,000 for the day pass) and MIX MATCH 4 for ₩8,000, for a total of ₩28,000. I'll show the full breakdown below ☺️

Picnic List Mangwon is really close to Mangwon Han River Park!

Picnic gear tends to pile up once you start renting a few things. Even with a wagon, hauling it around is a hassle, so I was glad to find somewhere close by. Super satisfying location! This was my first time at Mangwon Han River Park, and the easy access made a great first impression~!

What's inside the Picnic List Mangwon store

Walk into Picnic List Mangwon and you'll find tents, tables, mats, board games and speakers all neatly sorted by type. There were way more options than I expected — even with my reservation already set, I was tempted by other gear too!

Since I visited on a weekend, staff happened to be there! I'd worried a bit since the shop runs unmanned, but being able to ask questions on the spot was honestly nice.

How it works: book on Naver, then re-enter at the kiosk

At Picnic List Mangwon, even if you reserve through Naver Reservation, you still need to re-enter your rental items at the in-store kiosk. I'd recommend booking ahead on weekends, but walk-ins work too — handy for a spontaneous Han River day.

At first I thought, 'Wait, I already booked — do I have to do it again?' haha. But it turned out to be a good thing! You can add items you didn't pick during booking, so you can adjust the set to match the day's weather or mood. No need to stress too much over the reservation itself, hehe.

The ₩28,000 day pass set: 3COMBO SET + MIX MATCH 4

My set was 3COMBO SET for ₩10,000 + day pass for ₩10,000 + MIX MATCH 4. From the 3COMBO SET I chose tent / wine table / air pillow! From MIX MATCH 4 I chose embossed mat / camping chair / board game / Bluetooth speaker 💚

With all that packed in, you really lack for nothing, haha. Plenty of time and a solid lineup — if you're planning to stay at the Han River a long while, this combo should be quite satisfying.

I'd personally recommend adding a mat or embossed mat

Unless you're bringing your own, definitely grab one! It's not part of the base set, so keep that in mind!! If you're going to sit on the grass for hours, a comfortable surface is everything 🥲 The rental items overall were nice and clean too.

Tent and air pillow at Mangwon Han River Park: an hour of pure bliss

What I enjoyed most was the tent at Mangwon Han River Park! Setting it up and climbing in felt so cozy, haha.

With the fall breeze drifting in, I ended up taking a full hour's nap, haha. If you're renting a tent, get the air pillow too. Seriously, do it. Just lying down versus having a pillow is a whole different experience. It basically turns into your own outdoor bedroom~~ hehe...

Wine table and camping chair

The wine table was just the right size for setting out food and drinks. Having a table instead of spreading everything on the ground made me feel kind of fancy...^^

We also rented a camping chair so we could switch between lying in the tent and sitting up in the chair. But next time, I think I'd skip this and get a mood lamp instead. The reason's coming up soon.

Board games: Halli Galli and Da Vinci Code

We picked two games, Halli Galli and Da Vinci Code, and they were honestly way more fun than expected, haha.

Rather than just eating and lying around at the Han River the whole time, playing board games made time fly. If you're visiting as a couple, definitely bring one along 💚

Bluetooth speaker

The Bluetooth speaker was nice and compact! I was a little worried at first about blasting music and becoming a noise nuisance to people nearby, haha, but at a moderate volume it just gave off this sentimental vibe — ah, youth.

In front of the picnic zone you can also grab some gorgeous sunset photos. Pretty, right?

Evening picnic at Mangwon Han River Park: why you need a mood lamp after sunset

Mangwon Han River Park gets dark faster than you'd expect, so if you're planning to stay into the evening, it's worth renting a mood lamp from Picnic List Mangwon. We watched the sunset properly and then went back to our board game. One problem came up: the sun. had. set. ^^

And just like that, I became the person playing board games by phone flashlight in the dark... This is exactly when I wished I'd rented a mood lamp instead of the camping chair 🥹 We really didn't expect to be having this much fun... darn it!

Returning gear at Picnic List Mangwon: folding the one-touch tent

Since Picnic List Mangwon runs unmanned, you also pack up and return everything yourself. After a fun day, it's time to return it all.

Honestly, I always dread the return part. Reason: folding a one-touch tent is a matter of luck 🥲 It really is harder than it looks. No matter which way I twisted it, it just wouldn't go back to its original shape... Luckily there were fellow strugglers in front of the shop, and a passerby even helped out. That's Korean jeong (warmth/affection) right there~ Of course, we did eventually manage it ourselves. Our proud little happy puppy 🐶💛

Recommended combo for an all-day picnic at Mangwon Han River Park

This was my first time at Mangwon Han River Park, and thanks to Picnic List Mangwon, I got to enjoy it to the fullest. If you want a picnic at Mangwon Han River Park but find it a hassle to prepare everything from a mat to a tent yourself, renting is a great choice! The time was generous and the gear was clean, so I'd probably use this again next time I picnic at Mangwon Han River Park. If you want to eat, lounge and play by the Han River on a nice day, go ahead and set it up easily with Picnic List Mangwon, haha. I had a really great time 💚
