1. Where is Hantiok? A 700m walk from Bangi Station Exit 4

Hantiok Bangi branch is near Olympic Park. Coming out of Bangi Station Exit 4, walk straight for about 400m, then turn left and walk another 300m and you'll find the restaurant.
🚗 Parking - Valet parking is available both on weekdays and weekends. There's a valet booth behind the building, which made it easy to visit with a car. Parking matters when you're bringing your parents along, so having valet was a nice plus.

We visited around dinner time, and the restaurant felt spacious and tidy — a great spot for a family meal.
2. Inside Hantiok: celebrity autographs and a kids' playroom

The interior didn't feel like an old-school Korean BBQ place at all — it was pleasant and clean. The tables were well arranged and everything felt neat, so it wasn't uncomfortable bringing my parents here at all!

There were also tons of autographs from famous celebrities on the walls. It was fun to look around, and there was even a coffee machine labeled as one G-Dragon had used, which made me look twice.

They also opened a kids' playroom last month, which seems great for families with children coming to eat. Sitting through a whole BBQ meal with kids isn't easy, so having a playroom is a huge plus for family diners.
3. The menu: Emperor rib finger set with brisket soup, ₩65,000

It looks like pork galbi is popular at Hantiok too, but this time we ordered the rib finger meat set + brisket soup. It comes with 600g of beef rib finger meat plus brisket soup, priced at ₩65,000. Since we were three adults this time, we went with the reasonably priced beef rib finger meat.
4. How the meal went, from brisket soup to rice and doenjang jjigae

First up was the brisket soup that came as a default. It was packed with noodles, mushrooms, and meat. It was nice to have a warm spoonful before starting on the grilled meat, and my parents liked having a soup included too.

The main dish, beef rib finger meat, looks so good, right? The staff didn't grill it for us, so we grilled it ourselves. Since it's rib finger meat, it cooks quickly, so we could keep eating without the flow breaking, haha.

The meat had that distinct nutty flavor of beef rib finger meat and went down smoothly, which made it easy for my parents to enjoy too. Wrapping it in the perilla leaves that came as a basic side, or adding a bit of wasabi, cut through the richness nicely.

If the basic side dishes ran low, we could freely grab more from the self-serve bar. When you're eating meat, you tend to go through side dishes fast, so being able to just help yourself without feeling awkward was great.

I especially liked pairing it with the pickled onions. Eating just meat can get a bit much after a while, but rotating between perilla leaves, wasabi, and pickled onions kept it going strong.

The green onion kimchi was spicy and my parents enjoyed it a lot too. There was also this green vegetable next to the pickled onions — pickled cucumber, maybe? — that I tried for the first time, and the texture and flavor were so good I kept going back for more.

The food was great, but more than anything, the owner was really kind. The service felt easygoing throughout the meal, which put us in a good mood. When you're eating out with parents, the food matters, but you also worry a bit about whether the staff or owner will be pleasant to deal with. In that sense, Hantiok Bangi branch made for a comfortable meal!

We wrapped things up with rice and doenjang jjigae at the end. Meat alone is great, but finishing with rice and stew makes it feel like a proper full meal. The rice in particular was wonderfully sticky and delicious — my mom loved it! We would've regretted not ordering it, haha. Next time I'll bring my nieces and nephews here after a trip to Olympic Park!
