Wonder Coffee Bar Yeokgok reportedly first opened in August 2019 in Yeokgok, Bucheon, in a tiny 8-pyeong (about 26 m²) space 🌿

They say it started with a special philosophy: combining a coffee and bar concept to make coffee that feels comfortable to drink every day.

Thanks to their ongoing effort and research to give customers real value for their money, it has grown into a representative Bucheon café that people visit from far away 🏆

Visiting in person, I could feel the care in everything, from the coffee to the signature menu and the wide range of desserts.

The café is neatly divided into 3 spaces, so it's fun to look around, and the overall mood felt emotional and cozy 🏛️

From the ordering area to the spacious, comfortable hall, everything is tidy, and there's also outdoor seating where you can enjoy coffee in the breeze with people you care about on a nice day ☀️

The particular comfort of each space made it perfect for chatting or relaxing at a slow pace.

What desserts are in the showcase?

The showcase at Wonder Coffee Bar Yeokgok is packed with financiers (small French butter cakes) and fruit sandos (sandwiches filled with cream and fruit). If you love desserts, your eyes will light up the moment you see it! 😍

Wonder Coffee Bar is known for its huge variety of financiers. Vanilla, salted caramel, cheese crumble, salted chocolate, Sonangsie, pecan caramel and more. The lineup was so full that choosing was a happy dilemma 🧈

On top of that, there were colorful, pretty fruit sandos in a real variety of kinds 🥪

Signature Wunder Gato with hojicha ice cream

If you come to Wonder Coffee Bar, the one menu item you must not miss is the signature Wunder Gato! 🍨

I ordered my Wunder Gato with hojicha (roasted green tea) ice cream, and the look of those round, hefty scoops sitting on top of the cup was already impressive.

First I tasted just the nutty, toasty hojicha ice cream with a teaspoon, then mixed it smoothly with the bittersweet shot and drank it.

The coffee and ice cream blended into something like a sweet, rich milkshake, and I was in a great mood the whole time 🤎

Decaf coffee switched to soy milk

I also chose decaf beans and switched to soy milk. It had a nutty, fragrant finish like roasted sweet potato and roasted chestnuts, it was gentle on my stomach, and I was very satisfied 🥛

How do the cheese crumble and pecan caramel financiers taste?

I picked the cheese crumble financier and the pecan caramel financier, and the texture was so chewy from the very first bite that I couldn't help exclaiming!

Nutty and crisp on the outside, satisfyingly chewy inside, with deep flavor. A perfect match with coffee 🤎

Is the grapefruit mango yogurt sando very sweet?

The bread of the grapefruit mango yogurt sando was wonderfully chewy and soft, so the texture was great.

The cream inside wasn't too sour or overly sweet, just a pleasantly tangy yogurt cream that went perfectly with the sweet fruit 💛

Wonder Coffee Bar Yeokgok: overall verdict

From the deep flavor of specialty coffee to the chewy, varied financiers, the tangy-sweet fruit sandos and the distinctive look of the Wunder Gato, there was nothing to complain about. A perfect dessert café 👍
