Ichigyu Gangnam Sinnonhyeon Branch is a gyukatsu (breaded beef cutlet) restaurant on the 2nd floor near Exit 4 of Sinnonhyeon Station in Gangnam, Seoul. Dongtan braised chicken restaurant for a date: soy jjimdak at Mandori

Mandori Dongtan Jikyeongjeom (만도리 동탄직영점) is a Korean restaurant on Yeoul-ro in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi, specializing in dakdoritang (spicy chicken stew) and jjimdak (braised chicken). On a weekend date, a couple who can't handle spicy food ordered the soy-based Gyeongsang-style Daegu vegetable jjimdak and the signature potato pancake. Because Mandori uses large Harim size-11 chickens, the meat never seemed to run out, and the leftover potato pancake stayed crispy as takeout. With taste, portions and parking all satisfying, Mandori Dongtan Jikyeongjeom is a definite place to return to.

After Sunday service, an open run at Yubok Haemul Kalguksu brought the seafood kalguksu set for two at 22,000 won and a webfoot octopus chive pancake at 17,000 won, and the wild milk puffer broth tasted clean and refreshing rather than heavy, with half the pancake packed to go. It made a satisfying couple's lunch date once the cold wind sets in.
