Dolsoe Ssambap is a ssambap (rice with leafy-green wraps) Korean restaurant on the 2nd floor of Hyundai Cluster 3 in Misa, Hanam. Tired of delivery food and craving vegetable-heavy Korean food, the writer stopped by Dolsoe Ssambap on a date and ordered the Dolsoe jeyuk bokkeum (spicy stir-fried pork) ssambap for two at 28,000 won, which filled the table with wrap greens, side dishes, doenjang stew, steamed egg, boiled cabbage and kelp. The mackerel ssamjang, with a savory depth like tuna ssamjang, was the most memorable part of a great-value meal.

Horanggul Bangi Branch is an izakaya-style pub in the Bangi-dong food alley in Songpa, Seoul, serving Japanese-style motsunabe (beef offal hot pot). On a rainy weekday evening revisit, the writer ordered beef gopchang hot pot, chicken skin gyoza and a cheese risotto finished by the staff, and found the rich broth and odor-free gopchang (beef small intestine) satisfying. Seongsu dessert café with a croffle that stays crispy: Biat Seongsu

Biat Seongsu is a dessert café on the second floor of an alley building, a 5-minute walk from Exit 1 of Seongsu Station in Seongdong, Seoul. Stopping in after a meal, the blogger ordered a plain croffle with added ice cream, a decaf americano and an apple lychee ade, and the Biat Seongsu croffle stayed crispy even after the ice cream melted.
