I wanted a relaxed meal somewhere with good vibes in Mohyeon, Yongin, so I stopped by Bonaricetta. They serve all kinds of Italian dishes — pizza fresh from the wood-fired oven, pasta, risotto — and the cozy atmosphere with varied seating made it feel right for a date, a family meal, or a group gathering. Let me walk you through what I ate and what the place felt like!

The interior has a brick finish with warm lighting, which gives it a cozy feel. There's a wood-fired oven on one side, so it carries that distinct pizzeria atmosphere too. By the window there are side-by-side seats good for couples, plus 4-person tables and larger group seating. It was quiet enough to talk over a meal, so it also suits anyone looking for a date spot near Yongin Foreign Language University.

There's a wide range of Italian dishes — pizza, pasta, risotto, salads. Looking over the menu, I picked one wood-fired pizza and one pasta for the day.

Bonaricetta uses 100% Italian flour for its pizza dough, hand-kneaded every morning and cold-fermented for 72 hours, they say. Another distinctive feature is that it's a Neapolitan-style wood-fired pizza, baked briefly at over 400°C. The Bufala Margherita pairs tomato sauce with cheese and basil. Fresh out of the oven, it looked great even at the edges, and with generous chunks of cheese and basil on top, I got that clean, classic Margherita combination.

The bright tomato sauce, the savory cheese, and the basil aroma all came together nicely, and it worked well alongside the pasta too.

This is actually the pasta spot: shrimp aglio e olio

Of everything I had, the shrimp aglio e olio was especially good. The moment the plate arrived, the big shrimp caught my eye — plenty of them, and the garlic aroma really came through. The savory richness typical of oil pastas mixed with a strong garlic flavor, finished with a hint of spice, so it never felt greasy and I kept going back for more.

Eating the plump shrimp and garlic together with the noodles gave a good chew and made the flavor even more pronounced! I went in for the pizza but ended up remembering this place for its pasta instead.
