Charcoal cleansing foam for sensitive skin: HEEDA Jirisan

What is HEEDA charcoal cleansing foam?

With more year-end plans meaning more days of sunscreen and makeup, I was looking for a cleanser and tried HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal Hydrating Cleansing Foam. Since I have combination-sensitive skin, I focused on how it felt during use and whether my skin felt irritated afterward.

How did the texture and foam feel?

The tube has a cap that does not detach, which made it convenient to use in the bathroom, and the opening was a manageable size for controlling the amount. The cleanser itself was black, and when I dispensed it onto the back of my hand, it felt dense rather than runny.

The scent felt like a subtle charcoal and woody fragrance, and I did not find it off-putting. When I added water and rubbed it between my hands, it created white foam that felt springy and dense.

How was the rinse and makeup removal?

After rinsing with water, I felt that it washed away cleanly with a moderately squeaky, fresh finish and no slippery residue. It did not feel irritating on my skin, and I liked that finish.

One time, I tried using it as a first cleanse instead of cleansing oil or balm. I thought it removed my base makeup, lip makeup, and eyeliner well, but only about 70% of my waterproof mascara seemed to come off. I finished removing the remaining mascara with the HEEDA cleansing balm I had at home.
