Gangnam Station café, sedan parking & cookie brownie: Selected Nicks

Today I'm introducing a dessert spot with a really pretty rooftop, between Gangnam Station and Yeoksam Station in Seoul 🥯🤍 It's a huge Gangnam café that's great for working on a laptop too: Selected Nicks (셀렉티드닉스)!

Selected Nicks is open Mon–Fri 08:00–24:00 and Sat–Sun 11:00–23:30. It's known as a big Gangnam Station café (a Yeoksam tiramisu dessert hotspot).

🅿️ The parking lot is sedan-only, and other vehicles can't park there 🚗 If you need parking, please call the café's number directly to arrange it!

It's a Gangnam Station café in an 8-floor building, and this is my second visit after going last March, haha. Back then I'd stopped by briefly while I had business at COEX, and I remembered it being so good that I came back!

What the 1st floor of Selected Nicks feels like

Selected Nicks is a 5-minute walk from Gangnam Station, a big café spread over 5 floors. Mood-setting jazz plays all around the shop, and it really adds to the atmosphere. The 1st floor has a few simple tables plus a pickup counter where you order desserts and drinks.

What desserts does Selected Nicks sell?

Selected Nicks is already famous in Gangnam for its tiramisu. They say it uses fresh eggs and cheese in a traditional Italian recipe, with Nicks' own twist, for a tiramisu that's rich in flavor and both chewy and creamy in texture!

Financiers, madeleines and brownies to give as gifts

Selected Nicks also had loads of desserts that make good gifts! From chewy financiers to soft madeleines, there were flavors lined up to choose from 🥯 I hear the brownies are really rich and delicious too, so please keep an eye on them >< haha They're sold individually wrapped, which made them an easy, no-pressure treat.

And the desserts didn't stop there.. hehe There were cakes of every kind, from fruit cakes to chocolate cakes, so it's a Gangnam dessert café that makes bread lovers like me go wide-eyed!

What I picked: pizza bread, 2 salt breads and a cookie brownie

At Selected Nicks this day I picked pizza bread, two kinds of salt bread, and one cookie brownie! The cookie brownie looked so classy and delicious, hehe.

Selected Nicks isn't just bakery; the drink menu is quite varied too, so it pairs well with bread. From coffee to non-coffee to light drinks, the range is really wide, so it's easy to choose to your taste! They also give away one lotto ticket if you join the review event, so please do join in, haha.

There's a self-bar inside on the 1st floor! Every floor has one, which was very convenient.

Selected Nicks 2nd floor, venue rental and the best rooftop season

Big cafés like Selected Nicks aren't common around Gangnam Station, so it seems they also rent out the space for exhibitions, community events and the like, haha. If you're interested, call the contact number posted on the 2nd floor.

The whole place had a great vibe! It's still June, so evenings are fairly cool, which makes right now the perfect time for the rooftop, everyone. Once it gets hotter it's hard to use, so aim for now!

How good is the bread at Selected Nicks?

Overall the bread quality at Selected Nicks is steady, and the cookie brownie in particular was a definitely memorable item. Maybe because I love pizza bread and salt bread, those were chewy and really tasty too.. With everything from a simple meal to dessert in one place, I was very satisfied with the visit! >_<
