Yeosu brunch café for a last-day avocado banh mi to go: Avocado Yeosu

The last stop of my Yeosu trip was Avocado Yeosu, a café near Isunsin Square! 🥑 They make an amazing banh mi, Vietnam's top-tier sandwich, so I wanted to share it with you all haha

Where is Avocado Yeosu, and what are its hours and parking?

Avocado Yeosu is a brunch café on Tongjeyeong-gil near Isunsin Square in Yeosu, South Jeolla Province. It's open daily from 09:00 to 22:00, except Tuesdays when it opens at 12:00.

There are so many famous eateries and cafés around Isunsin Square that it's fun to hunt them down one by one while traveling! This time I wanted something a bit special and unusual for dessert, so I stopped by Avocado Yeosu.

What does the inside of Avocado Yeosu look like?

Walking into Avocado Yeosu, the first thing that catches your eye is the overall green tone that matches the avocado theme, and there are cute little props everywhere that are fun to look around at! With rattan-style decor and avocado-related accents added in, it even feels a bit exotic 🥑 Anyway, the thing that stands out the most is definitely the avocado dolls >< lol They were seriously so cute

What we ordered at Avocado Yeosu and what it cost

At Avocado Yeosu that day I ordered an iced americano for ₩4,200, an iced condensed milk latte for ₩6,500, and an avocado banh mi for ₩8,500.

The menu was really simple. But you know what they say — places with a simple menu like this are usually the real deal! We asked to have everything packed to go so we could eat it at home haha

While the owner was making the banh mi and drinks, I walked around and checked out the store! 🥑🤍 There were seriously adorable avocado props everywhere, so I lost track of time just looking around.

There was even a self-photo camera near the entrance, so I took some fun pictures there too!

Iced americano and condensed milk latte with the banh mi

The first things to come out at Avocado Yeosu were the coffee drinks! Sipping the cold, refreshing iced americano alongside the banh mi cleaned up my palate really nicely afterward, haha. Especially with something as rich as bulgogi and baguette, I personally think a clean americano works better than a sweet drink ><

And for my boyfriend, who loves sweet coffee, I also ordered a condensed milk latte. After the banh mi, one sip of that sweet latte was such a nice, sweet finish — that combo was pretty great too, I think .. 🤎

How does the ₩8,500 avocado banh mi taste?

What I was looking forward to most that day was Avocado Yeosu's avocado banh mi! Banh mi is a Vietnamese sandwich made with baguette and various fillings, and Avocado Yeosu's version is known for having bulgogi (marinated beef), vegetables, and avocado inside haha. The thick baguette looked packed full of filling and genuinely delicious.

The plain, nutty flavor of the baguette blends with the fillings to create a charm that's clearly different from a regular sandwich! 😋 The avocado has a soft, creamy texture that contrasts nicely with the crunchy baguette, and with the bulgogi and vegetables added in too, it's such a satisfying full meal .. !

I thought of it as just something simple to grab while traveling, but it turned out heartier than expected, so I think it'd be perfect as a brunch item too. The owner was also really friendly, which made it an even better café visit in Yeosu haha. The banh mi is also easy to enjoy solo, so I'd recommend it for a solo trip to Yeosu too.
