The place is big with lots of seats, so I doubt you'd often have to wait! I arrived a bit early in the evening and no one was there, but by the time I was eating it was dinnertime and it filled up! People come both for dates and to eat alone.

Bombay Broy menu listing curry and naan types

There were lots of curry and naan types! The owner was thoughtful enough to match the photos to menu items with arrows. After some thought I ordered the prawn makhani (prawn curry) and butter naan.

How were the prawn makhani and butter naan for a solo meal?

The prawn makhani at Bombay Broy Pangyo was a curry with far more shrimp than I expected, and the butter naan had just the right amount of butter, so it wasn't greasy. For one person, one curry plus one naan was just the right amount.

Default salad with cola and a cup of ice

A salad comes by default! I ordered a cola too, and they brought a cup of ice with it!

Complimentary salad, pickles and jalapeños

Right after ordering, they served salad, pickles and jalapeños. The vegetables in the salad were fresh and crisp, nice to eat.

And then the curry and naan came out right away! It didn't take long for the food to arrive, which was just right. The naan came cut into sensible pieces.

For eating alone, the curry + naan combo was just right.

Prawn makhani: a curry generous with shrimp

Prawn makhani

It's a shrimp curry, and there's way more shrimp in it than I expected! They're cut into bite-size pieces, so it's easy to eat. The curry looked a little thin, so I wondered if the flavor would be weak, but it wasn't. A curry that's just right to eat.

They even light a flame underneath like this, so you can keep eating it warm to the end, a nice plus.

Butter naan: buttery without being greasy

The butter naan wasn't greasy, with just the right amount of butter, perfect to eat. It pairs well with the prawn makhani too.

Honestly, curry and naan alone can feel a bit lacking, but with so much shrimp inside it wasn't! If you end up eating alone after lunchtime, I recommend the curry + naan combo! It had been a while since I'd had Indian food, so it brought back memories and tasted great.
