Today I'm dumping my full, honest review of 'Dalmatian,' the hottest spot in Starfield Suwon where I made precious memories with my dog! 🐶✨

Ever since Starfield Suwon first opened, I kept hearing it was a paradise for pups, right? And when I heard that Dalmatian — famous as the brunch spot in Dosan Park — had opened a branch on the first floor of Starfield Suwon, I thought "we HAVE to take our dog here!" and ran straight over!

• Parking: Use the Starfield Suwon underground parking lot, 6 hours free — plenty of time to eat and shop too, which is the best!

The moment you arrive on the first floor of Starfield Suwon, this pretty European-style facade catches your eye right away! That's Dalmatian. 🌸 Usually dog-friendly restaurants mean outdoor terrace seats only, or you're stuck squeezing into some corner table feeling awkward, right? But Dalmatian is nothing like that!

From the entrance, pretty flower decorations and a charming European-style interior greet you, and I honestly felt like I was in Paris! Our dog was sniffing around and wagging her tail happily before we even sat down, and my heart just melted. 🥹❤️

Dog etiquette rules and the restaurant's atmosphere

The biggest strength of Dalmatian Suwon is how perfectly dog-friendly the environment is set up! You can sit indoors together with your dog, so there was no need to feel self-conscious.

• Having a carrier, pet stroller, or pet cushion makes using the indoor seats much more convenient!
• A leash is required, and it's a nice touch to lay down a pet cushion or towel if your dog sits on a chair.
• Staff keep the atmosphere calm so dogs don't get anxious during waiting or seating.

The staff were seriously the kindest ever! The moment they saw our dog they said "aww she's so pretty~" with bright smiles, and they even brought out a clean water bowl for her without us asking — I was genuinely touched. 🥺💧 The other guests were also very welcoming toward dogs, so it was the best possible atmosphere to enjoy brunch comfortably without feeling self-conscious!

How was the chuck flap steak?

Alright, food comes first! Let me honestly tell you about the most important part. We ordered Dalmatian's signature steak, a hugely popular pasta, and a refreshing ade drink! 🥩🍝🍹

Looks: The moment the plate arrived, I couldn't help but gasp! The nicely browned steak and the beautifully garnished grilled vegetables (asparagus, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms) were plated so beautifully.

Taste: I asked for medium, and it was textbook crispy-outside-juicy-inside. The moment I bit in, the juices burst in my mouth. Dipping it in the wine sauce or wholegrain mustard that came with it cut right through any richness, leaving just the savory flavor. The meat wasn't tough at all — so tender, honestly on par with a fine-dining restaurant! 💯

The moment the pizza landed on the table, I genuinely gasped "wow~!" It had a classic, upscale look totally different from any franchise pizza. On top of a beautifully browned crust sat a generous amount of sweet, soft sweet potato mousse and sweet potato chunks, with savory cheese sprinkled on top like snow — it made me happy just looking at it. 🤤💛

How was the scallop oil pasta?

Today's dish: scallops so tender they melt the moment they hit your mouth, paired with an umami-packed oil sauce — a dreamy combo. The 'scallop oil pasta.'

Plump bay scallops seared crisp on the outside and juicy inside, in a pasta infused with subtle garlic and arugula aroma — just imagining it is pure healing, right? This is the famous, word-of-mouth scallop oil pasta.

This oil pasta is packed full of fresh, plump scallops. The texture of the scallops — crisp outside, juicy inside — is pure art! The savory and deeply flavorful oil sauce soaks nicely into the noodles, so every single bite made me go 'wow.' And being able to enjoy it indoors with your adorable dog makes it an even happier spot! 🐶💖
