If you're a bread lover, you just can't walk past a great dessert spot. I'm always hunting down good desserts because I love financiers (small buttery almond cakes) and salt bread, and the place I love most for financiers is Byway Bakers (바이웨이 베이커스). This Byeollae dessert spot is close to me, and the financiers are crisp outside and moist inside, totally my style, so I keep going back.

Salt bread and dessert menu at Byway Bakers in Byeollae

Byway Bakers is a great salt bread spot in Byeollae, and there are so many kinds that picking is half the fun.

Besides salt bread, there are egg tarts, Dubai chewy cookies (dujjonku) and more, a lineup dessert lovers can't help but like.

Plain salt bread and mocha salt bread, perfect with a coffee.

The signature financiers come in lots of flavors and the quality is great, so they're the kind you stock up on. There's also the trendy butter rice cake, and the injeolmi (roasted soybean powder) butter rice cake looked so nutty and delicious.
Financier packages, samples and the review treat

Byway Bakers has good-value financier packages, which makes them perfect as gifts.

You can try samples before buying. They offer egg tart and financier samples, so if you can't decide, go for the samples!

Free baked treats if you write a review after spending ₩10,000 or more? No reason not to, haha.
What does the mango wakppu salt bread taste like?

This time I ordered the wakppu salt bread and a pick-5 financier set at Byway Bakers.
- Wakppu salt bread ₩8,500
- Pick-5 financiers ₩13,500

I said "wow!" the second I saw the wakppu salt bread. The looks are insane.

White chocolate coating, mango jelly, fresh mango and yogurt cream all come together, and it's fun to crack apart and eat.

The inside is packed with mango jam and yogurt cream, so one bite spreads soft sweetness through your mouth.

On top of that, super fresh mango and the salty bread make a sweet-and-salty match, and you even get the varied texture of the white chocolate.
A regular's financier picks: Oreo and almond choco
My beloved financiers. I like Byway Bakers' financiers so much that I'm a regular at this dessert spot.

First pick is the Oreo financier. Take a bite of the one piled with sweet Oreo, then sip some coffee, and honestly you're the happiest person alive.

The almond choco financier has loads of almonds and rich dark chocolate, so the nutty flavor hits your mouth right away.

The almonds are layered on thick, and compared with the crisp outside, the inside is chewy and moist. There aren't as many dessert spots in Byeollae, Namyangju as you'd think, but Byway Bakers is bread-lover approved. If you're looking for financiers in Byeollae, be sure to stop by.
