I was looking for somewhere to have dessert near Konkuk Univ. Station and ended up at Café Ohkam. It uses floors 1 to 3, so the space is pretty big, and the dessert lineup (fruit sando, cakes, cookies, kaymak, bingsu) is so varied that choosing is half the fun.
I hear the name OKLM comes from the French "au calme," meaning calm and quiet, and the place really did feel like somewhere you can relax. This time I ordered the fruit sando, a strawberry latte and a sweet hibiscus blend.

What's the atmosphere like at Café Ohkam?
Café Ohkam is a standalone-building café tucked into an alley near Konkuk Univ. Station.

The brick-building exterior stands out, and there are menu photos and a sign at the entrance, so you can get a rough idea of the menu before going in.

1F ordering area and dessert showcase
The inside is bigger than I expected.

The first floor has the ordering area and a dessert showcase, and inside the showcase were cakes and desserts like the fruit sando.

There were also what looked like mango cake, Basque cheesecake and tiramisu, plus a separate selection of cookies.

The drinks menu is varied too: coffee, ades, non-coffee drinks and teas.

Coffee drinks can apparently be switched to decaf, so it looks like a good stop for people who are careful about caffeine.

2F and 3F seating and the outdoor seats
The second and third floors are seating areas, and each floor has a slightly different mood.

There are bright window seats and seats for bigger groups, so it seemed fine for coming with friends or as a date spot.

There are rooftop-style outdoor seats too, and on a nice day the outside tables looked lovely.
I also spotted cute cat photos and props, which gave the place a comfy, cutesy feel rather than a stiff café vibe.

So for anyone hunting for a Konkuk Univ. dessert café who wants to sit quietly and enjoy dessert, I think it suits you well.
What I ordered at Café Ohkam, and the prices
- Yogurt cream fruit sando ₩8,000
- Strawberry latte ₩6,600
- Sweet hibiscus blend ₩6,000

How does the yogurt cream fruit sando taste?
Café Ohkam's yogurt cream fruit sando (₩8,000) is a sandwich with yogurt cream, lighter than whipped cream, and what looked like orange and mango. It came in a takeout case, and the cross-section was so neat that it was great for photos.
Inside were what looked like orange and mango, with thick white cream between the bread slices.
The bread was soft, and since it's yogurt cream rather than heavy whipped cream, it felt a bit fresher. The fruit brought a bright tang with each bite, and overall it wasn't too heavy, so it went well with a drink.
When you bite into the orange pulp you get the juice, so even though it's a dessert it never felt cloying. The mango added sweetness that paired nicely with the yogurt cream, and it was easy to eat even as an after-meal dessert.
If you want something a little different from cake near Konkuk Univ., the fruit sando is a good choice. For fans of fruit desserts among Konkuk Univ. dessert cafés, it's worth trying once.
Is the strawberry latte very sweet?
Café Ohkam's strawberry latte (₩6,600) is a milk-based drink with strawberry pulp, and the sweetness is about what you'd expect from a dessert café. The color was pretty from the start.

When I stirred it with the straw, the strawberry flavor mixed in naturally. It tasted less like artificial strawberry milk and more like a sweet strawberry latte with chewy bits of fruit.

The milk was smooth and the strawberry syrup was moderately sweet, so it went well with the fruit sando. It's not a weakly sweet drink, but it's the level of sweetness you'd expect from a dessert café, and it photographs beautifully, so I think a lot of women would love it.
What does the sweet hibiscus blend taste like?
Café Ohkam's sweet hibiscus blend (₩6,000) is an iced tea with a lovely red hue, both tart and sweet, which makes it great alongside dessert.

It has hibiscus's signature tartness, but as the name says, it isn't just sour. There was an easy-drinking sweetness too. If the strawberry latte is the smooth, sweet one, the sweet hibiscus blend is the cleaner, fresher one.

Your mouth can get sweet while eating dessert, and sipping this in between worked well as a palate cleanser. Personally, the strawberry latte went well with the fruit sando, but if you want something crisp, the hibiscus tea is good too.

Verdict: Café Ohkam as a Konkuk Univ. dessert café
Café Ohkam is close to Konkuk Univ. Station, so it's easy to reach, and with its space split across floors 1 to 3, it was a Konkuk Univ. dessert café where I could relax more than expected. There's a wide range of handmade desserts, from fruit sando to cakes, cookies, kaymak and bingsu, and I liked how many choices there were.
I hear the bingsu and drinks use seasonal fruit and change with the seasons, so next time I'd like to try the fresh mango bingsu or other cakes.
The fruit sando was fresh thanks to the fruit and yogurt cream combo, the strawberry latte was nice and sweet, and the sweet hibiscus blend was a clean tea to have with dessert. It looks good as a second stop after a meal in Konkuk Univ., or when you want dessert near Konkuk Univ. Matjip Street.
With its roomy space, cute interior and variety of handmade desserts, I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a Konkuk Univ. dessert café.
