Biat is a great pick for a dessert café near Seongsu Station. It's one of the big cafés in Seongsu, and I'd like to come back in the daytime someday haha.
Getting to Biat Seongsu: where is the entrance?
Biat Seongsu is a 5-minute walk from Seongsu Station Exit 1, and the café is on the 2nd floor of the building. A big capital letter B is written out front, but the ground floor with the letter is not the café, haha. You have to take the stairs next to it up to the 2nd floor. I was the one who got startled at first by the closed door on the 1st floor haha.
Go up the stairs to the 2nd floor and you'll find Biat Seongsu, a large café in Seongsu.
True to its name, BE ART, Biat Seongsu has an impressive atmosphere where art and café blend together.
What is the inside of Biat Seongsu like?
The inside of Biat Seongsu is quite spacious, with a wood structure, plush-looking sofas and slightly dim lighting. Open the door on the 2nd floor and the interior turns out to be really big. I had no idea the café would be this large before climbing the stairs, so it was a surprise.
The atmosphere is great too, so Biat Seongsu seems like a good date café in Seongsu. The warm wood-toned structure and the plush-looking sofas are what stood out.
A big café can sometimes feel a bit hectic inside, but Biat Seongsu doesn't, which I also liked.
The lighting is on the dim side, so it seems especially good for a date.
Art-like wall decor and accent lighting
Just like the name Biat, the café is full of art. What caught my eye was a picture-like photo (?) hanging on a dark wall.
In the dim café there are a few noticeably bright lights, and they look pretty as part of the interior, so it was fun just looking around.
How to order at Biat Seongsu and what I picked
You order at the counter by the entrance, and you can check the drink menu and the desserts in the showcase right there. Ordering at the entrance counter, you see the drink menu along with the dessert selection in the showcase.
I tried three kinds of coffee and two kinds of dessert in total.
Tip for taking photos in dark Biat Seongsu
The café is dark, so taking photos was a bit tricky, but luckily it turned out okay once I turned on my phone light haha.
The food looks pretty, so it's fun to take photos at Biat Seongsu.

I ordered the nutty, rich lattes one iced and one hot, plus a refreshing iced americano, and went all in with two desserts too.
