Magok Mexican restaurant lunch date with queso dip nachos: Taqueros
In short
Taqueros Magok Main Branch is a Mexican family restaurant on the 2nd floor of Magok GMG Tower, near Exit 3 of Magok Station in Gangseo, Seoul. Two people visited at lunchtime and ordered the Taqueros Signature Couple Set (fajita plus 2 tacos, chicken and fish). The homemade queso dip with nachos, a first for the writer, and the crispy tacos were the highlights. Why we chose Taqueros Magok Main Branch for tacos in Magok
Taqueros Magok Main Branch is a Mexican family restaurant done up with real atmosphere in Magok. My boyfriend Doodoo loves guacamole, so we'd gone out for tacos together before, and I ended up loving tacos too — so while looking for a taco place in Magok to treat myself, I found this one. I told Doodoo about it and he was into it, so we went for a lunchtime visit.

Taqueros Magok Main Branch menu overview
The menu at Taqueros Magok Main Branch has a best set menu made for people like me who are visiting for the first time on a date. The signature items are fajita, Texas BBQ ribs, chimichanga, tacos, and quesadillas, plus a variety of fried sides. The drink menu was also varied, with sodas, Jarritos, ades, and all kinds of alcohol.
Thanks to the soft lighting, it felt atmospheric even at lunchtime, and we were seated by the window. Ordering was done through the QR code on the table.

First-visit order: the Taqueros Signature Couple Set
The Taqueros Signature Couple Set is the best set menu, including your choice of fajita or Texas BBQ ribs plus two tacos. Of course you order the best set on your first visit! We went with the fajita and two tacos.
Drinks aren't included, but if you order an ade you get a ₩1,500 discount. I didn't order one, but honestly, water was more than enough to enjoy the meal.
I forgot to join in, but there's also a Naver receipt review event — you get a dish of Nutella tortilla chips topped with ice cream. If I'd booked a reservation AND done the receipt review, I don't think we could have finished it all, haha.
Ketchup and hot sauce were already set out on the table.

Complimentary nachos and homemade queso dip at Taqueros Magok
Basic nachos come out first at Taqueros Magok Main Branch — you even get them just by ordering alcohol. The homemade queso dip sauce came alongside, and it was my first time trying a cheese-based dip sauce with nachos. My style~
Since I already love cheese, it was even more delicious. The nachos are seasoned on their own, and the richness of the cheese balances it out perfectly. Doodoo doesn't love cheese, so he said the nachos were tasty enough plain, but I dipped every single one. Nacho chips and the queso dip sauce were both refillable.
While we were still eating the nachos, the fajita and tacos arrived.

How the Taqueros fajita and tacos are served
The Taqueros fajita comes with pork, shrimp, chicken, onion, and rice sizzling on a hot plate, served with a variety of sauces to wrap in tortillas. Mild salsa, tomato salsa, sour cream, jalapeños, and tortillas are all refillable — except the guacamole.
The Signature Couple Set (for 2) comes with two kinds of tacos: chicken taco and fish taco. Since they're fried, we were told they taste best eaten before they cool down, so we went for the tacos first.

Chicken taco vs. fish taco at Taqueros: which tastes better?
The Taqueros fish taco uses tartar sauce and the chicken taco uses a slightly spicy sauce, each playing to its strengths. Both were fried nice and crispy — the fish taco tasted like eating fried fish cutlet, while the chicken taco went well with its sauce and the vegetables kept it from feeling greasy. Of everything we ordered, the tacos were my favorite.

Taqueros fajita: pile everything into the tortilla, or one filling at a time?
After clearing the tacos, we moved on to the fajita, and I always hit the same dilemma whenever I wrap ingredients in a tortilla — do I put in every kind of meat, or focus on just one? For the first tortilla, of course, you throw everything in!
It's fun to find your own preference as you go.
Underneath the meat was grilled onion and rice crisped almost like nurungji (scorched rice). Exactly the kind of thing Doodoo loves. Great pick, past me.

Bite-sized half tortillas and Doodoo's top pick at Taqueros
At other Mexican family restaurants, ordering a fajita often gets you one big tortilla that you have to cut in half yourself. But at Taqueros Magok Main Branch, they come already cut into bite-sized halves, which I liked. We were a bit short, so we asked for a refill.
Because the pork was seasoned quite strongly, it was Doodoo's top pick — some was soy-based and salty, some was spicy, so there was enough range to suit different tastes.
Is Taqueros Magok Main Branch good for group gatherings?
The Taqueros fajita can be ordered scaled to your group size, which makes it a good choice for group meals. It seems like a great spot for gatherings, anniversaries, engagement parties, or birthday parties in Magok.

If you're trying tacos for the first time, or looking for a good spot for a Magok gathering or engagement party, book Taqueros Magok Main Branch through Naver Reservation and pay a visit!

And for dessert, we even got Chupa Chups!
